Originally by: Flamespar I have played Perpetuum.
The communication between the Devs and the community is really top notch.
Whilst the game has had some minor issues, they really seem to be focussing on making sure features work and enhance what players want to do.
Rather than saying to players 'this is what you will be doing' (ie the current EVE online model), they seem to be working with players.
Plus the game is cheaper per month.
And you will be able to have pink robots.
I played in closed beta and I can say that the only reason this is the situation is that the game is new and they have a miniscule number of subs as compared with EVE.
If they did not do the above they would be shooting themselves in the foot.
I do not agree with the road that CCP is taking, but I do not think the apocalypse is setting in on EVE at this point. That being said this could be the push that gets Perpetuum of and running. It will be good to get back in and see how things are going in about a week when I get internet back at the place.

This.
It's a pretty sweet game, yet so new Wikipedia doesn't even have a page on it yet.
It's because some moron on wikipedia keeps deleting it

just seen this post by one of the perpetuum DEVs
Originally by: DEV Calvin Well, this wasn't the day we fixed the server. We are going to get some rest and carry on tomorrow. We have isolated where the problem is, so we did make progress today. Until then a 350 player cap is in effect. At the moment we do not have the tools to make distinction between paying and trial players. All this time we spend chasing this issue will be free of charge to all of you. We are very sorry about the inconvenience, we will do our best to get this out of the way!

I love this game. Seriously I think it's great.
But no, why would ccp have to sweat over 300 hardcore eve players that liked the good old days? We can jsut play both if CCP come through. If not, it's a haven for a very very very small number of players.
and whats wrong with that?
