Edited by: Hemp Invader on 27/06/2011 09:13:05 I would like to point out that CSM meetings with CCP are closed to the public(with non disclosure agreements and ****) and since the new meetings have a great influence on the future of the game I suggest a petition to make these CSM meeting public.
Public CSM meeting means that CCP won't be able to say "data out of context is not information" and if it is public we will see what is actually going on.
X here if you support this idea.

I'd rather not actually.
The thing is, the CSM can only hear exactly what we want them to hear, if they hear about the short, mid and long term plans for eve-online by CCP, which you just cannot make public enough without showing your hand to all the competition in the market.
NDA is the only reason I actually can accept the CSM because CCP isn't necessarily lying to them about everything that is 'company secrets'.
Transparency always comes at a price, CCP will not pay it.

I think Keitaro Baka summed it up, I'd like it to be public, but for those same reasons I can't see it happening.
Although I suppose if the section on the future of NeX and Aur was made public and the rest wasn't, it'd be less damaging than the potential fallout if lots of people unsub.
So I have a partial x.

Are you seriously thinking that the NDA is good in this case?
They are talking about MT, and i would very much like an answer coming from CCP which is recorded by a video cam "Will MT include non-vanity items?". That should be recorded and kept as proof.

Are you seriously thinking the CSM would hear the true and complete story if there isn't an NDA? No commercial business that expects to continue to keep making any money will ever fully disclose their plans for the future.
NDA's are extremely annoying for the grunts/normal users, but they are paramount for companies, i.e. no NDA means the CSM will not hear the full story and/or parts of it will be lies or rather they will only speak with people who don't know the actual plans for the future.
I would rather the CSM hear everything and be under NDA, so that they can at least assume they will be hearing 99% of the true story, than them having full transparency on the subject, but hearing lots of meaningless words from people who basically know as much as we already do.
If the CSM at least gets to say 'every member of the CSM thinks this after this meeting' without actually revealing the future plans, I would be able to deduce my thoughts on the subject with a lot less paranoia on how much would have been lied about during the meetings (knowingly or otherwise).
But that's just me and I have to live in this imperfect world where full transparency is about as likely as peace and no hunger on Earth. Again, my opinion, nothing more than that.
