Hello and welcome to my little rant
I think its clear to evryone at this point that CCP is probably In need of More money... Why do an RMT store if they wernt? The thing though is that EvE is not a good game to do this in. The avrage RMT consumer has a short attention span, they want things now and if given the chans to pay for it to get it faster they will. Now you can argue that giving people the ability to buy super ships and mods from the RMT store would satisfy such a person but in EvE it wont. Why you ask? beacuse in EVE everything takes a Very very long time. You cant just head out and find someone to shoot at. And why Even run a mission (that is boring as ****) if you allready got what you want? People who are Ideal for the business Modal do not play EvE because they think its boring.
CCP please understand that for the short attention span people your game is a Bore-fest. And your current player base Wants the Work/the downtimes and the slow gameplay Or they would be playing WoW or some other theampark clone. If you take away the work for them they will lose interest in the game. example...
1: Why trade if you can just buy everything at the Cash shop? 2: Why Mine if nobody is buying your gods ( as they have all got what they wanted from the cash shop?) 3: Why do missions? you sure dont need to boost standings (as you can now buy it) and you dont need the ISK because you can buy that also?
I can go on and on but What will people do in your game? EvEs game Mechnics are BORING.. and I mean pre-historic at best. At its core its a grind for ISK, if you take that away what the F... are you left with? The pushing factor behind EvE is also its politics.. but to short attention-spaned customers this is not Interesting and takes way to long. They want exploding ships and thrilling action ( and lets face it there are alot of games that do that alot better then EVE) EvE is waiting and planing and scaming, lying and cheating... And the people who actually play EVE have alot of patience and they dont make good RMT customers.
So most of your current player base is not Ideal for a Chash shop model. To make RMT work in this game you have to make it a theampark Experince ( all downtime has to go). And most of your players will have to go also and be replaced by the short attention span crowed..
I think you have to ask yourselfs if this is the End-goal you are working for?

The game is changing, the climate for the game industry is changing.
HTFU or STFU if you can't handle it ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

Not for the better, obviously.

Lots of people have done both. By unsubbing and either going outside or to another game.

Sad thing though is the CCP dont have the SKILLS needed to bring in the Low attention span people.. You need to actually give them fun gameplay and by Fun I mean Instant Gratification..

The industry is changing solely because of gutless little f*gs like you. Players are the customers and should set the price...not the industry...produce a decent product at decent price or we will go elsewhere...instead we have clueless gimps like you clutching mommys credit card screaming "i want it now".
This attitude of the current crop of 12 year old gamers is the reason we are where we are....crap games being put out left and right...not given a s**t what the players want...it is completely back to front...solely because the gamers are selfish ****s.
If we stood up together the games that would have to be produced to get us to spend money would be mind blowing...instead we get s**t because of morons like you.

It must be just me who finds this catchphrase - and it's accompanying rap video - to be one of the most cringeworthy things I've ever heard.

Agreed. However, unless players are committed to leaving, not just making a scene hoping that the company changes it's policy then nothing will change.
