Edited by: Altzcher on 27/06/2011 14:55:42 just a thesis, but.. read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_MD
then think about this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicxulub_Crater
where they conclude: [..]Reviewed available evidence and concluded that the impact at Chicxulub triggered the mass extinctions at the KûT boundary including those of dinosaurs
This might be commen knowledge, but when u take into account that the stone flyig towards us at this very second, is 3x as big as the one mentioned here, and that this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zNuT4dbdjU
was a result of one rock, being followed by many more
And that theres a point in: "why would they tell us?"
Thre might be an everyday horror event to be found entertaining this thought.
Anyways, am I the only one feeling a little like.. "the end is nigh...?" ish? lame question maybe, but if we're gonna snuff it i'd like to talk about it first lol
Anywho - End of todays post, see ya tomorrow kids ( maybe :0)

"according to rough estimates, its length is between 10 and 45 meters " Even if it would have impacted, considering how much of it would have just burned up in the atmosphere, I doubt it would have caused sufficient damage to properly destroy a small city.
But if you want to see how some people thought the "3 days before imminent death" face of the planet would look like, go watch the movie "Tres dias" (a.k.a. "Before the Fall").

Edited by: Steve Thomas on 27/06/2011 16:37:21 . Between 200kt and 6 megaton from the only official estimate I could find.
the odds of a "high energy" surface contact was less than 1% with a less than 5% chance of surface contact of the resulting fireball or overpreasure.
and that assumed that it actualy entered into the atmosphere. .End of line.

I suppose you would not take the deal if you felt you could not be honest about your past. My point is life is not a 90 minute film with either good or bad people. But that everyone does some good and does some bad. Is it virtuous to assert that honesty about the life that was lived should be earn some points at the check in desk after death.
What I am trying to get at is that the historical record for many powerful leaders of countries is far to glossy and kind in the name of preserving the integrity of the nation they led. Before ex presidents and prime ministers die they should be tasked with taking a position on if they agree to a verbatim biography of their life be published. If they are obsessed with their place in history but did not right nasty stuff in power they would disagree to the biography. They would die, the public would continue to be ignorant of their ex leaders true past. But when the ex leader goes to the after life check in desk they receive no rebate points for being honest about the life they led.
