I stumpled upon this thread considering CCPs financial situation.
Tell me, would that work ?
Would it introduce more ISK into the system, or would/could CCP just remove these ?
Given, it needs to be payed via cash, buying ISK and donating a PLEX doesn't work. ^^
So ?

Every PLEX you buy is in effect an immediate donation to CCP, its destruction or not has nothing to do with anything due to the way they account for them.
So, in practice we have been having a PLEX for good for CCP for a while!

Obviously it's not enough and the different is, that a portion of these PLEX enter the market as ISK.
That should be avoided.
It's a Donation. Just like the other PLEX 4 Good.

The best PLEX for Good would have been.....
... a Good product quality.
Sooner or later, overpromising always takes its heavy toll.

Short, but useless.
We know that already, try something new instead.
Maybe something more helpfull comes to your mind, too ?

There's so much horse manure in that thread. Amazing - financial statements being "analysed" by a load of drama queens.
This what the financial statements tell me: 1. CCP makes a healthy operating profit. 2. It has a secured loan coming up for repayment this year. You can bet your last PLEX/ISK, whatever, that they have measures in place to refinance that loan and/or increase their share capital. They are under no obligation to say how they intend to do that in their finstats. 3. They are in an interesting situation because of their decision to develop two new games at the same time. That does mean cash flow is tight - developers' salaries have to be paid now, but revenues will only accrue if/when those games are released. Look at their liquidity ratios - they have moved in the wrong direction. It is a risky strategy for two reasons - the current economic climate and questions over their competency to deliver products the market wants on time. Those questions gained more credence with the Incarna debacle and the various leaked documents.
4. As an aside, they released a blog denying they were in talks with Sony for a complete takeover. However, the wording is interesting for what it doesn't say. It remains possible, even plausible, that they could be negotiating with Sony to provide funding in one form or another. It's a logical choice.
No, CCP is not bankrupt. Yes, they do need to carefully manage cash flow for the next two years.

Tbh, if they some day need more money, i'd prefer they get it from me, than from some greedy investors ...

They should work with the playerbase, not against it, then.

exactly.
Maybe we should tell them that we will give them money, and they repay us by actually listening
Something like that.

Dude, the drama queens are in this thread, too.
If you want to "donate" PLEX to CCP, break it in Aurum and contribute to the NeX store. Increasing activity in the NeX store achieves what you're asking for.
