I am nothing but an EVE pilot, no less or more driven to succeed in EVE than you. We've roared, stomped and shaken the very universal fabric of EVE and it is time we lower our weapons, hatred and stand by and listen for the echo of our rebellion.
As beautifully explained by CSM White Tree, it is time to call for a temporary armistice to show CCP and the CSM that we are awaiting their discussion, the conclusion of this matter.
Call for everyone around you to calm down or remain calm while we await with anxiousness upon the result.
TL;DR: Sit back relax, follow along for the emergency meeting.

Nice post but you don`t really offer any compelling reason for people to start chewing grass on farming field again.

Considering I can't load the game (station environment takes about 30 minutes to load and my computer overheats before then), all I have to do is wait.

Before the riots I was telling ignorant fools on the forums that I wasn't giving a flying **** about what they wanted me to do.

Except CCP have went behind CSM's back, and lied to them, so why would we give a **** of this CSM/CCP meeting? -

You're a day late and a dollar short mate. Keep up! That's what we've been doing since they announced the emergency meeting. Otherwise Jita/Amarr would still be locked down and the forums really raging.

Originally by: White Tree So here we stand now at a crossroads. We've had documentation on the state of internal dialog with CCP made public, we've had analyses of CCPs 'apparent' financial affairs, we've caused a thunderous rumble that the entire gaming world has paid attention too.
White tree I haven't seen much from *any* csm members including yourself on these forums. The thunderous rumble that the entire gaming world has paid attention to came from these forums not csm internal forums. Can you please show me the posts where your voice joined that rumble? Until then I'm not sure what you mean by "we."

I don't think the op gets it.
CSM may have been constantly harping about this on the csm internal forums. But that didn't do anything. It wasn't until the players spoke out on these forums that we got to ccp.
This csm meeting is a pr stunt. CCP sees the reaction and before the meeting will already have in mind some concessions that they will give the players. However they do not want to appear to give concessions due to forum outrage as that will encourage more forum outrage on future issues.
They want to give the concessions during a csm meeting. That way they can give credit to the csm (credit that this csm will lap up) and appear like this great innovative company. An innovated company that created a players council and through that really listens to players. I would also add that they need to check in with the csm before they offer the changes so that failure to do that is not yet another knock against them.
So they will come into the meeting saying they want to ruin the eve economy with micro transaction but then they will offer "compromises" because of the csm's eloquent argument. They will claim that this meeting helped them understand the players position on these issues. The CSM will say no we couldnĘt get everything we wanted but we did get concessions X y and z. They will surely explain how ccp wasnĘt even going to give any of these concessions but for their brilliant work.
Idiots will think yay the csm really accomplished something for the players! And yay CCP really listens to the players!
I'm sorry but anyone who can't see that coming is very naive. CCP see what is going on in the forums even pc magazine sees it. They need to take some action to try to build a better pr with the playerbase. This csm crew is a great one to do it with.

That is to put it out frankly, insulting. I have done my share of posting and protesting in amarr. Just because I haven't rage spammed the forums doesn't mean I haven't participated and that is naive of you. I don't think you have met and are acquainted with all the protesters?
Oh and regarding your second post. I could not agree more... |

Very well written.
Seems everyone is getting bent about MT and game breaking items that aren't even in the game yet.
Wait a second.
Um, the game is already broken.
There's a ton of posts in the forums about players not being able to log into the game, players having their computers crash after logging into the game, players having to deal with a lot of bug's while in the game, etc.
Not to mention lot's of lag. How about rushed expansions written with poor programming that hasn't been thoroughly tested?
Naw, that stuff isn't as important as the Micro Transactions of future nonexistent game breaking unbalanced items exploit for sale in the Nobel Exchange.
Now about not trusting the CSM and CCP, I'm with you all the way on that.
As for the OP asking everyone to cool down, yeah maybe it's time for that.

No CSM speaks for me, no CSM has a mandate from me to speak for me, I speak for myself, however, that being said, I wish the CSM's well in trying to placate the masses. I want the shooting in Amarr to stop. I have wt's in there and the lag is making it difficult to take of them. Sent from a campfire using smoke signals. |
