I come online to the forums today to see there are less whining threads than usual.
What happened? I'm saddened, I can't laugh at the OPs anymore :(
Did the valiant protesters that would stop at nothing to make sure microtransactions never happen die of boredom or something?

no, CCP just confirmed to an Icelandic paper that they will be going full steam ahead regardless of CSM.
It is over, all that remains is to see if anyone actually leaves, but since we have the googledocs i am pretty sure we can shame anyone who claimed to be quitting out of the game. I will personally harass and ruin the gametime of any one of those 'quitters' until they find eve unenjoyable =)

No idea, spent most of the day playing another MMO.
My guess is people are waiting to see what comes out of this meeting.

Personally I'm hoping the failquitters who failed to quit actually quit.
But I think we all know what the score is there.

You will see it really explode after the CSM if they plan on proceeding ahead.

Just abiding by the ceasefire and the request for Parlay. I expect this to blow up over the weekend. What does it matter anyway - CCP is ignoring our threads anyway. What made us all think they would listen. I mean seriously when have they ever listened.

^^ This, I also have started taking offense to foreigners more, I feel like I am being treated like a "Big Dumb American" by them, so why the hell should I let them live in my country?
Maybe this whole EVE thing has taught me that foreign people can never be trusted.

What is it with all this hate from you guys? Don't you see that all we've been trying to do is get CCP to listen to us? To make them understand that P2W is a truly bad idea? Do you really think it's a great vision where anyone that pews will be paying subs AND whatever benefits they can get from the store? And, plz, don't say 'You can buy it with isk just the same' because it ain't true, the EvE community WILL be paying for it, no way around that. I don't want to quit this game, i ****ing love it. And, believe it or not, CCP too. They created something truly original here. I don't want it broken, and I for one believe that P2W will, at the very least, hurt this game.

I guess the majority of the people have reached the "acceptance" step in the "knhler-ross model" (Linkage) and have either decided to move on or just do a u-turn. Some are still in step 3 - "Bargaining" though (raise subscription instead of RMT and similar).
Could also be that CCPs succesful PR-stunt went very smooth (sending CSM to iceland) or most likely a combination of stuff.

This anger has made me powerful, I cut in line at the gas station today and some lady behind started to say something and I just raised my hand and said "DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM MAM?" and she calmed down.
CCP has lied I know this with a passion. This passion gives me strength. This strength gives me power over others. This power will lead me to victory. With that victory no man shall hold me down. CCP's betrayal has set me free!

Actually, we are waiting on the result of the CSM's meeting with CCP. If it goes badly or turns out to be a real 'PR' move then pretty much expect trade hubs to be very very busy again. There's certainly no feeling of 'acceptance' from what I have seen in the various riot channels and its pretty hard keeping the riots down atm.
Wait and see tbh.

Wait and see stage for now, but chances are I'll just move on after the CSM meeting taking recent interviews in consideration. It's obvious CCP cares more about talking to anyone else but the players.
Count 2 accounts cancelled and another 2 I just didn't reactivate this time around for me if you are taking note. |

Not sure if you can compare this to "knhler-ross model". Appreciate the Psychological insight however I equate this to someone embezzeling money from you or committing Blackmail. Eventually you have had enough. However again - CCP is a Corporation and we are nothing but customers. So either we pay or we don't play. It is repugnant and crap however it is and always been the reailty of the situation.
We can only hope that something may change - hope is a good thing. If not then we burn down the house and move on. CCP will have us replaced in plenty of time to Make the Loan Payment in October to Citibank.

Take your rage outside of the video game, start by putting people into their place. Experiment with this rage, its quite fun, pick on someone small and be careful that nothing you do breaks the law, but you can crush people with a few choice words. Their tears are sweeter than in EVE.

I think it's mainly just waiting to see what comes out of the meeting.
I would think most people just want a straight answer from CCP about will non-vanity items be introduced to the game. If they had said at the beginning that non-vanity items were not being introduced then I'd not be protesting. If they had have said they definetly were going to be added to the MT shop, I'd have deleted my characters and would have left already.
