First off he did not specicied the level of missions figures the region and the most likelly pirate faction. but most importantly almost half threads in this forum talk about PVE and 99% of them suggest drakes, tengu, cnr or golem. this make me think if he ever read at least one time some subject in this forum before asking something peole talk everyday.
A post wihtout minimum info to give a serious answer and about a topic you can find discussed almost everywhere with much better info sounds ( or at least deserve to be treated as ) a troll.
Nothing more nothing less.

First of all I was hoping for some real help from helpful veterans. You have too much time to criticise other people for trying to start conversations and not enough time to write something constructive. If that's the case then please don't post here.

then you should look at the first page of this same forum Level 4 Drake fit? where you can find drake fits and replies well made where are suggesting even different ships ( always caldari)
This obviously if we are talking about L3/L4 missions. you did not said what mission are you doing, nor the region, nor your skills, nor your wallet.

However abrupt my friend above is, he is inherintly right you havent given us any infomation to work from other than its PvE and caldari! i could say kestral and be right in the contex you have given, just because its cheep and can complete lv1's. Also there ARE LOADS of threads answering this same (albieit in your case vague) question. Do some research, then ask a more cohirent question that people can give a educated answer too.
And dont take out your fail on people that are trying to help

What level missions? What sort of skills do you have? Do you have even the slightest desire to PvP in the future?
Caldari ships are a blast to fly. But they take skill to learn how to fly well.
Caldari's strong points are shield tanks and missiles.
In that aspect Frig Kestrel (although there is an armor fit for it) Caracal Drake NH/Tengu Raven/CNR/Golem
That are your major missile boats in the Caldari family.
Now me personally. I tried out several ships. I still have my destroyer which is a turret caldari ship and have fun with it from time to time. For L3's my favorite ship is the Drake. With a good tank setup it is almost impossible to lose it in a mission. For L4's I use the Raven. I plan on getting into a CNR sometime in the future but then again I have been saying that for years now /lol. I am always playing with my Raven's fit though. It takes a lot more work than the Drake but it is fun none the less.
If you are going to go the PvP/PvE route then the NH is a solid ship to use and can handle L4's as well.
One thing I recommend though. Get your core skills (and not what the certificates say are core skills) to at least L4. This will make fitting a lot easier and improve your chances at living.
I think I still have the core skills listed in my description in game. Mind you the NPC damage stuff may or may not be accurate anymore as I haven't updated my description in probably 5-6 years. Well not since before the first AT when the State Issued BS's were the prize.

I laughed.
Basically the top 3 are cnr, tengu an golem, only. cnr for level 4s on highsec or relatively safe 0.0. Golem for specific missions ie if you have more than one ship for missions or looting is exceptionally profotable compared to lp.
Tengu for certain highsec lvl 4, lowsec and 0.0 in general aswell as near enough all formes of lvl 1-3.
I've heard goo things about a wellfit flycatcher for lvl 1's but never tried it enough in practice, the theory is sound however. Parrots, commence!
