There seems to be a question of whether or not the CSM meeting is even going to produce something the players can read about. Instead, the intent is apparently to produce some sort of 'Joint Statement' at the end.
I call BS on that.
This meeting should have been open and transparent so that players can make up their own minds about what is happening. The meeting should have either have been broadcast live or members of the game press should have been invited to report. At an absolute minimum, the minutes should have been recorded like other CSM meetings! Failure to do any of the above combined with the fact that the CSM has already agreed to make a joint statement prior to discussions with CCP even beginning is a clear indication the CSM intends to accept whatever CCP deigns to offer.
This isn't a meeting where the CSM is going to aggressively represent player interests, it's a PR stunt where the CSM has become a willing participant. Pathetic, really.

Ah, someone else who thought this "summit" in Iceland would yield something of value from the CSM.
You guys are just too funny.
Oh, and thanks for creating another totally useless thread. Good job.

Way to jump the gun on that one. Personally if I get a joint statement that says something like "We have discussed this issue and agreed that vanity items in the NeX store will continue however there are not any plans now and will not be any plans in the future to introduce non-vanity items in exchange for AUR or via any other payment method" then I'll be perfectly happy, even if I never get the chance to learn at exactly which point in the meeting that was agreed upon. Obviously, if CCP then go back on that I'll quit.

Knowing how the CSM came to be (to calm people down after CCP corruption case revealed), its hardly a surprise that this is just going to be another PR fluff

As much as fun as it is to climbing onto a beer crate and demand free beer, pizza and hookers, will you have to live with a joint statement before they can begin fixing anything.
It needs a plan with new directions first. --

We got dis. CSM: And no one will know? CCP: Our internal security is tighter than a gnat's ass. CSM: Okay, where do we sign?
Fixed that for ya.

The CSM has never been anything but a PR stunt since the day it was created and if you think any of it's members are there representing a platform beyond free vacations and free e-fame you are naive.

The same can be said of our real-life politicians. On the outside they like to claim to be running those positions with the interests of their constituents in mind, but in real life they are just doing it for the money. For god's sake, look at the salary of a US president ($400,000/yr).

I don't think this thread is useless. I think its important that we let ccp know we don't appreciate being treated like idiots and are well aware this is nothing but a pr stunt. People who don't understand that probably bet on professional wrestling.
I am sure they are going to make some sort of concessions on mt tomorrow. Trying to build suspense so that it will appear like some sort of huge csm victory will only work for the drooling morons.
CCP should just send the csm back and post what they are going to do on the forums. Enough of the dog and pony show.

One does not become a politician for money usually, simply because there isn't much to be had. CEO of Novartis gets over 40 Million $ a year. Unless you want to argue that he has more responsibilites than the american ****ing president.

Torture numbers enough, and they will confess to anything. Metrics is a load of BS.
Secondly, I'd be genuinely surprised if at least one disgruntled CSM member doesn't walk in, record the whole thing, then plaster it all over the internet the millisecond it's over. Transparency FTW.
CCP, train 'Playerbase Communication' to level V immediately. Any continued failures of communication will result in more unsubbed accounts - and from just the ones that have unsubbed so far, you'd have to sell over fifty monocles a day, every day, at their current price.

Are you declaring yourself a candidate for CSM7 or do you have something in mind that works better than representative democracy?

Look at your rage when you see nothing.
Imagine then, on a live feed you see them spitting beer while acting out you posting during the forum charades part of the day.
Come to think of it. Maybe a live feed would be kind of fun.

In this case yes. CCP could just answer the clear questions repeatedly asked of them. They do not need to fly csm out to tell them the answer, and have them then tell it to us - after they get nda clearance from ccp. This whole thing is a pathetic Joke.
