Disappointed that the subject of CCP's devs returning to work on EVE instead of continuing to develop beta software for their new software and testing it on us was not addressed.
Would like to know if CCP has the resources to pay for the manpower to develop three titles over the next couple of years - because it looks increasingly like eve is on hold until they can push out the others and claw back some money.

Much like many development areas in eve.
Still, at least I will have a cool avatar and emo skin for my ship.

We work on EVE all the time :) We detail a lot of the work that we do in our dev blogs, and of course you can always find game updates in the patch notes section of the site.

How many devs are assigned to working on eve inspace features?
A dev blog said that only 22 were assigned as of june 2010 due to your focus on incarna. The 18 months are up in December 2011. Are there plans to assign more devs to inspace eve starting in December?

where is hybrid buff? where is FW revamp? where is ship balancing? where is T3 (oh yeah, 2013)? where is nullsec revamp (oh yea, you'll start working on it in 7 months)?
so i must echo OP's question: when will your work on EVE-Online-teh-spes-ship-game?

Why wasn't there at least a token "we have a great long list of items we know players have be clamoring for many of which our developers have aknoledge should be done when resources are availbable in the "answer every question" thread. Rest assured that with this release behind us we have the resources availble now to go full bore on those issues like jiggering ship balances, experimenting with numerous sov mechanic possiblities, and starting incrementally on faction warefare enhancments"

Maintenance, fixing previous errors and some bling. How many devs actually left working on eve? Have you guys been abandoned in the basement to try and keep EVE going whilst the rest of CCP runs around with plastic fangs or plays on the PS3?
Why are the marketing drones so active these days, but the devs are quiet? Have you been muzzled?
If you won't accept monocles in trade for answers, how many beers at the next fanfest will do?

Sov mechanics are probably being worked on in conjunction with Dust514 and changes will be released alongside it. The CSM saw a working version of TiDi (Time Dilation)last week which will sort out quite a few problems with regards to large scale fleet battles so that will probably be coming soon.
I wouldn't be surprised actually if 80% of the employees at CCP are actively working on EVE, just not exclusively due to the size of the company and how game development actually works. For example the Incarna team is probably working on the graphics engine for WoD along with the walking in stations as the code could be used in both. The lag guys are working on the networking involved with connecting Dust and Eve while working on TiDi. Spaceship balance guys are working on Dust514 and EVE balance as ignoring one or the other upon release of Dust will screw the other one up and introducing changes now only to change them again in a few months with Dust's arrival would be a waste of resources better spent getting it right the first time.

And who is working on fw, 0.0, lowsec, pos & supercaps issues then? I'd have thought it would make sense to resolve existing issue before creating new ones.

Totally right, they should have one person working on each and every issues in game at any one time. That's a sure fire way of getting those issues solved as fast as possible.
oh, wait, I have a better idea. Perhaps they could make some kind of list of issues, prioritise them, and get the most relevant ones done first.

Considering its the winter expansion I would think they need to start working on it a little before January next year...

A large amount of the issues you're going on about now are not from mechanical problems but from technical ones. Supercaps are unbalanced right now due to the amount of ships you have to field to get the DPS requirement to kill them due to half of your actions not coming through due to blackscreen+Grid problems. This is fixed with TiDi preventing those things and increasing fleet dps. 0.0 is being worked on by a team that's also working on Dust integration.
With something such as Dust coming out it is actually better to wait to change certain things rather than spend the time changing them now only to find out you've made things even worse when you release it.
All you have to do is actually think instead of sit there playing armchair dev and ***** and moan and you'll realise why a lot of this moaning is completely inane.

oh, wait, I have a better idea. Perhaps they should assign more resource to resolving existing issues so the list of problems diminishes quicker?

I have the same question as the original poster. Reason...Eve is obviously being drained of resources. Just need to take a look at the expansions the last 2-3 years plus a lot of features added are being left in version one condition.

Source?
What I remember is this devblog: Originally by: CCP Soundwave WeÆre currently looking into a long term plan for 0.0. I say long term, not because itÆs planned for 2014, but because the work will begin this winter and hopefully go on for a while.
Isn't it a bit late to start working on it in winter if its the winter expansion? ______ Tippia's analysis of NEX/Incarna |

I went through all these blogs and found very little stuff that could be seen as adding something new and exciting.
929: -Changing back jamming after another change by team BFF messed things up. -Spawn container: nice but just adding something that should have been there from day 1 -Scenery problem bugfix -Mission smartbomb now damages drones. Well, cool, I guess this was really a big problem
928: Turrets. Looks nice but the turret icon next to the target looks terrible and cannot be seen against a dark background. Turrets are also hard to distinguish in inventory. So the things where you have to look at turrets look terrible and the graphics themselves which you can turn off and are usually zoomed out to far to see look nice.
926: Agent finder. Nice but lacking functionality external websites deliver.
919: Team Gridlock. The efforts of these people cannot be praised enough.
917: BPC/BPO. A full devblog for this ? Seriously ?
910: Little things: -Fleet event history. A terrible change IMHO as you always have to switch to the important ones rather then the default 'all' one. -Probes alt function: excellent change -BPO/BPC: hey, this again. -Onboard scanner: I like it purely for convenience. Nothing really new here, just something working a little better after the 5 AU range chosen on introduction years ago was really far too low. -Attribute ID's, whatever -Fleet finder landing page: nice -Standings not visible: A step down, loss of functionality presented as an improvement. -Build jobs: nice, refining the functioning of existing feature -Scrolling, don't really see what this does as I don't use EVE_voice -Agents: again, big loss in functionality due to differing agent quality making regions different. It's mroe simple, but why not remove agents at all then and let you get missions from the NPC corp ? -Bookmarks on overview, oops !
908 0.0 tweaks: Again, a partial rollback of earlier introduced content is presented as a new thing.
What I see are tweaks on existing things, making them work better (or worse) but nothing new.
When can we expect something new ? Since wormholes we've had a few new industrial ships and that's it. PI, EVE-Gate and Incarna are all things outside the core EVE gameplay.

Just because your computer cant run it does not mean that is the same for everyone. I can run Incarna and CQ on my modest PC with a good 30FPS and guess what, my GPU never goes over 70c. Maybe...you should upgrade?
