Quote: Yay, and one of the "masters of the universe" involved in the Iceland banking fiasco owes 30% of CCP's shares...
They did their job -transferring wealth from public to private hands is the sole purpose of banks.

Quote: So 20$ for a virtual cloth is called "pricing strategy" nowadays?
Yes it is. No one said it was a good pricing strategy, though.

That wouldn't bother me much as long as the money they got was actually spent on EVE and we got new fancies... but provided the new fancies likely will be as ludicrously overpriced as the current ones, it doesn't makes such sense to allow CCP develop them.
It's not a "pricing strategy". It's a failure.

Op, think of the humor value. You can laugh at people who spend real life money for imaginary videogame pants that cost more than actual pants. Hilarious in my opinion.

I think anyone spending any money on AUR items at the moment needs their head seeing to. Nobody else but you can see it since you can't exit your CQ.
Except in your ship, when such clothing is irrelevant anyway.

Well, I would be buying them if they had the right price; I was willing to spend as much as 3 plexes to dress up my 3 toons. But with each toon's clothes worth as much as a Machie, it completely kills the fun of grinding for them. I see no "sense of achievement" in grinding for a month to get a pair of boots, frankly... but the idea is somehow hilarious.

Too bad for you tbh. I suggest you get out and see some PVP emergent content. That is EVE's strenght. EVE is not WOW and does not rely on a steady stream of mindless content. Yet at any rate.

One of the problems I forsee when the door in the CQ is finally open and the station environment becomes available is it will be a ghost town. Why so? well let's see, the main people who can afford the items, etc in game don't have any interest in it. Also it's completely out of reach for newbies. And I could just be speculating here but I can see the whole station experience being one great big AUR-fest, basically attaching AUR to just about everything.
Let's face it with Incarna CCP have become AURw-h-o-r-e-s
So tell me again who's looking forward to the full Incarna experience?
Has everyone noticed how your avatar looks at certain things in your CQ like the screens, etc? Well OP your going to love it when the station environment becomes available because if CCP follow their design brief for stations then each item will have a attention draw weight added to it. In other words if your standing with a group of people who say have a mixture of shirts, pants, skirts, etc and someone walks past with a monocle because their item is weighted higher than anyone in the group, guess what? ... your whole group will look at the person with the monocle, just to really make you feel inferior. Unless something has changed and hopefully CCP can confirm this one way or the other then that's how it will be.

Well, if I was...
...unemployed ...a child/teenager ...a lifeless freak
Then probably I would find a lot of ways to spend hours upon hours in New Eden. But I haven't got that much time, and so far the only rewarding and appealing thing I can do with barely an hour each day it's PvE. Really haven't grown tired enough to try and develop industrial skills, and combat PvP is a lengthy, time comsuming matter.
So I had fun with the new toons, and planned to have more fun with them until CCP aimed at my bank account and I said, "forget it, icelander punks, not gonna funnel 100 $ into your game so you can suck me another 100 $ later". 30 minutes dressing and walking my toons around is not worth 100 $, and I can do it for free at Sisi.
