The current command ship bonus is applied solar system wide. I believe it should be limited to ether grid or a specified radius. Eg 300km.
These ships would then see more use in combat and replace the cloacked t3 booster in system. These ships may need aditional tank to compensate for the higher targeting priority they may recieve.
As a bonus diversifieng links to battle cruisers may become more popular. ______ Hello WoW players. Look at your toon, now back to me. Sadly it isn't me, but if it wasn't simplistic pre scripted linear mono dimensional game you could look like me. I'm in a Paladin |

CCP have said that they want to make gang bonuses only apply to the grid you are on, this was a thread about Roqual sitting at a POS and not out in the belt. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

Quote: Scanning ņIt is no longer possible to set up a ship to be impervious to scanning while uncloaked. ņAll probes can now contribute to a scan result, as opposed to the previous limit of four.
Incarna patch notes. Get better at scanning, they are still harder to scan down but no longer impervious to being detected. Second, cloaked T3 were never able to use command modules while cloaked only while having higher sig radius. Third, you are correct and EVE's **** combat mechanics (Primary Command ship! Crap its getting repped! Target Logistics! Damn it! Back up Logistics, JAM IT! WTF SINCE WHEN DID THE EWAR FRIG GET DESTROYED! RECON EWAR ON IT NOW! AH HELL CYNO OPENED! rinse repeat ad nausem as local spikes) will kill command ships thus killing the any reason to fly a command ship outside a select few (much like Black Ops). Better off removing command ships, command link, all +rep skills, and increase ship hitpoints OVER 9,000!!!! times to dumb down/up the the passiver boring hammer bag that blobbing cruiser/BC is because most players to afraid to loose expensive ships.

Bad idea, they would see less combat. No one wants to fly the ship that is automatic primary, especially at that cost.

What you are saying, effectively, is that they would *HAVE* to "see more use in combat" since they would *NEED* to be in proximity in order to be of any use.
And if "diversifying links to BCs may become more popular" certainly that would mean a decrease in CS popularity or at least "LESS use in combat"?

Not to hand, it was in a thread on this forum shortly after the Roqual was released and people were discussing the fact that they sit at a POS all day. ...and you want this draconian change so you can gank rorquals that would have to move into belts instead of parking in pos's?
P.S. also it's "receive"

There have been more recent CCP comments in threads about unprobable T3 boosters, but IIRC they all came with some caveat along the lines of "eventually". ______ Tippia's analysis of NEX/Incarna |
