Hi, we are running regular open mining operations in the Genesis Region, they take place in High sec and with a fully skilled Orca pilot. (This means you will benefit from a significantly increased boost to the amount you can mine per cycle.) we will then pay you for the ore you mine at a rate of 76.4 ISK/m¦ or 2.1m ISK for a full can. No hauling is required on your behalf as the Orca will take care of that for you.
The events currently take place on Sundays just after down time, however depending of interest and turnout this may get expanded, we aim to operate an easy going attitude and no commitment is placed on attendees, you simply get paid for what you produce.
If you are interested please join in game channel hjmine or speak to Svinder Pitchblack

Q. How do I know this isn't a Scam?
A. Simply give us a chance, you are paid as and when you produce each full can of ore or any part thereof at the rate above if need be, if we fail to pay up the most you can lose is 1 can of ore, however that's not in our interest as we'd like to see you at our ops in the future. We also have ran several successful ops using this method already and can give you references if need be.
Q. 2.1m a can doesn't sound like a lot?
A. we feel it`s a reasonable price to offer for high sec ore`s, but before you pass judgement please consider that 1. you will not have to haul the ore yourself so can spend more time mining and 2. the rate at which you mine will be greatly boosted so the amount you mine per hour will likely surpass the difference you might have made anyway.

This sounds like something I might be interested in participating in. When do you run your ops (what days of the week & what hours) and for how long at a stretch? Getting to Genesis would involve a little bit of travel on my part so I want to ensure I will be around at the same time you guys are before I preposition my mining ship.

At the moment it is Sundays right after DT, , just a couple of jumps away from Dodixie. To mine there are Veldspar, Scordite and Pyroxeres. :) Other Days can be arranged, but for that I'd need a few more participants wanting to go out and mine to make it worth the time.

Yes, we are in this for profit, I make no attempt to hide that. However for a lot of people this will also benefit themselves: not everyone has access to an Orca, or the patiences or time to ship and manage sell orders of ore at a trade hub etc.
there are also some fringe benefits as well, the social side of meeting like minded individuals, the opportunity to learn from others in the industry sector of the game. We are also in the process of building a few ships at trade prices for some of our longer term participants.

my guess would be the increased productivity of the miners due to orca boosts and all their logistics taken care of would 'offset' the profit the OP is looking to make.
Both parties can benefit if its done right.
I am curious, are you selling the Ore to the market, or using it to build your own items? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EVE: TESTING GROUNDS FOR WoD & DUST SINCE 2011 |

indeed we think it can be beneficial all around, perhaps especially to those players not in an industry focused corp. or still developing their skills.
we use the processed minerals to supplement our other supply lines and manufacture a wide range of goods for the general consumption of the market.

I find this to be a pretty nice, seeing as it adds more "content" to the mining experience for players not already in big mining corps.. It's good thinking too, newbies and more casual players tend to be happy with much less ISK than us greedy veterans, so they're cheap labour if you find something slightly more interesting than their usual solo grind to offer them. ^^

Well, the participants have not just been newbies, but also people in Hulks, also some multiboxing players. The fact that they don't have to haul and get these huge bonuses are really attractive. So if you do not have Orcasupport, it is always worth it.

I have 12 accounts - all plex and all fly hulks.
Would you be able to support this? Not trolling, just curious if you have means to haul and provide bonuses at that raid of income.

I may be interested in this, are there any notifications set up, mailing list or similar to advise us when this will start?

I am definitely interested in this. More so for the experience of networking through meeting new players. I'm currently working towards an Orca operation myself by multi-boxing so it would be nice to see how the operation works before I dive in head first.
I just need to see if this is near my current star base to see if it is even feasible for me. Maybe I can buy a barge in the system and leave it there for this reason and then use a shuttle to commute.

I have an orca that I can use to provide fleet boosts (up to squad commander currently). I got a question though. If there is more than one orca in fleet (one being a squad commander and the other being at a higher position) can the bonuses from the mining foreman links stack up or is one nullified by the other?

Two Orcas means one can be used as an hauler while the other continues to supply the boost and gathers cans. If you have enough miners active, a second Orca is probably the most efficient way to haul ore.

ok, to answer some of your questions...
Quote: "I have 12 accounts - all plex and all fly hulks.."
we have had op`s with around 5-6 hulks on at once, at these levels stripping belts becomes pretty quick and frantic, to have an additional 12 would require us to re-look at our strategy and deployment, tbh it would in all likelihoods be a case of having a second op running elsewhere, out of interest how do you mine with these 12 hulks? at the moment we are too small, but expansion is a possibility for the future. Watch this space....
Quote: "are there any notifications set up, mailing list or similar to advise us when this will start?"
not at the moment, but that is a good idea will give some details at the top of this post when i am next back on eve. at the moment op`s are on sundays just after the down time and last for about 4 hours normally

you only get one set of boost`s for any leadership / mind link, However if you set the fleet up right, you can have one orca boosting while the other docks and vice versa.

I was going to send you an eve mail but it said your name was not a valid recipient. I would love to participate as i slowly work to affording a Drake and then an Orca. Mind messaging me in game so I can move a mining vessel over into the system you typically run the op from?

Edited by: Phugoid on 11/08/2011 17:29:56 Great idea..... count me in for Sunday, August 14 right after dt. I'll bring my trusty Covetor. I need to mine alot to recover from a couple huge losses by those pesky gankers :)

It's not a bad deal. You lose out about 400k but you are mining with the Orca bonus and you don't have to haul. Sounds like win win to me. Wish I could join up for the fun, but still working on mining skills and Sundays are a bad day for me to try to play.

This is being done in high sec space. Not 100% safe but is it worth the risk?

Edited by: Phugoid on 15/08/2011 20:11:02 Edited by: Phugoid on 15/08/2011 20:08:59 Hey Jyth...there u are!
Its as safe as any area in hi-sec. theres no guarantee of safety in Eve. I was there this past Sunday, and Im happy with the way it was run, and happy with the ISKs made.
Any miner will tell you that they've been ganked before, it'll happen eventually. If I were u I wouldnt worry that much about it in this case, because u get paid immediately.
And as in any situation in Eve, safety is relative :) The risk is no different than when u are mining alone...which I think mining alone has a slightly higher risk. Anyways, Eve is all about risks one way or another.

2.1m Isk for a 27k M3 can is not a bad deal. When i haul it with my alt (iteron V) around 37m3 Cargo Hold, And check what i get before refining its also around that amount. So im obviously doing something wrong, but this is a good deal.

We aim to be fair with our prices, but not to the point where we would lose isk, as a rule of thumb the more parts of a chain of a process you can do the more profit you can make from the end item, in a lot of cases just refining ore will earn you isk, (that is pretty much how i started the game; I used a simple Ore Refining Calculator and went on from there )

Attended my first op with these guys this weekend. Well organised and it worked out much more profitable than solo mining. Hopefully see you next week
