Edited by: Scantisk on 06/07/2011 23:21:53 Firstly, i would like to state that i too was upset over the release of Incarna, at first i thought it was ******ed. Even today i think some parts are ******ed. But my biggest concern was the MT bull-crap. The fear was that, at least in my eyes, that CCP would start selling off SP and gold ammo to its more financially capable players. I could care less bout monocles and shirts.
Then CCP released an amazing pointless statement that addressed nothing. At this point i was rdy to quit, i had no plans on renewing, and was planning to leave eve at the end of the month. Then we FINALLY got the statement that said SP and Gold Ammo would not be sold.
Honestly, the only thing we can really complain about at this point is the fact that CQ doesn't have a viable option for players with non amazing rigs other then staring at a wall. To all of you still *****ing bout Incarna, can you plz explain to me what is ticking you off. And if its cuz you cant get a monocle can you plz go jump off a cliff....

Ahem, there are apparently no PLANS to sell them. Which is to say they might at some point if they believe it works out for them.
If you are fine with that I don`t think there is much point posting about it or asking why others might still be displeased. Some players feel that they cannot make multi-year commitment on a game which might veer off in a direction they do not like. Or already did.

I can cover my eyes, ears and any other hole with monocles if I would wish to. I do not.
Now, there is very old and still quite good deal - you don't tell me what to do and I don't tell you where to get lost. That about your cliff.
Nobody is telling you must complain, or are obliged to do anything. Yet you seem very notorious to tell others what they must think... on a second thought, how about to get lost after all ?

My computer is 4 years old, far from amazing. If you are having performance problems, I would first wonder how long you've had your computer. And if you're reading this, you've fallen into a signature trap. You owe me 1m ISK. |

I would renew my subscription if CCP did the following:
They gave an unambiguous statement regarding the sale of P2W items through NEX. No ôwe will discuss any grey areas with CSMö or ôas long as itÆs not game breakingö rubbish, just a straight out no P2W period.
They decoupled the NEX market from the EVE economy (i.e. PLEX). People could then purchase AUR for their vanity items directly without having an effect on the ISK price of PLEX, and therefore have no effect on the game at large. But it seems CCP doesnÆt want PLEX to reach its natural price equilibrium and want to keep milking it as much as they can, hence the NEX sink.
Personally I would prefer they killed PLEX entirely, but I know a lot of people like it.

My complaint is the same as it was 2 years ago. CCP was very very slow about bug fixes and balancing before they bought whitewolf. Now that they are working on WoD any hope that they'll do much of anything with eve is pretty much out the window. Now we have the added distraction of the Nex store and incarna testing that have zero game content for eve players but is vital for their WoD plans. All the while the list of broken things just grows longer.
And no with more money they will not come back to fix eve, they'll spend every dime on WoD first because that IS a full MT game and they'll get all the investment back in one year instead of 5 with a subscription based game. That's the point, CCP as a company no longer wants to be shackled to long term subscriptions they want to spit out several games instead of working on the same one for years.

The game is too boring. 1)Wait for a blob to form 2)go out with blob and blob others 3) find bigger enemy blob 4) dock.

1)Wait for a blob to form 2)go out with blob and blob others 3) find bigger enemy blob 4) dock. Just keep repeating this.
Or you can go in a small gang or solo and warp around for hours trying to find fun pvp. Either way the return on the investment of time isn't worth it.

CCP Statement has actually changed nothing. Absolutely nothing. The only real change was the language, instead of vanity only we have non-game breaking. Whatever that means?
We also have the extremely suspect 80 years excuse.
It's up to you what you believe but I'll be staying away from EvE, good luck with it all

My only REAL complaint is that so much development time seems to be/still is being spent on Incarna and not much on fixing various bugs, ship/weapon imbalances, and general "in-space" content. _______________________

CCP didn't say that, exactly. Read this carefully:
"There are no plans, and have been no plans, as per previous communication and CSM meetings, to introduce the sale of game breaking items or enhancements in the NeX store."
So if the item or enhancement isn't "game breaking," by the judgement of CCP, then they may very well be planning to introduce items and enhancements which affect gameplay. Based on their continued use of this weasel-like language, and their inability to simply state that no items will ever be sold in the NeX store which can affect gameplay in any way, I can only assume they will certainly entertain such ideas in the future.
And considering that CCP's CEO has proudly stated that they will stay the course on this issue regardless of what we say, I really don't see how we can possibly trust anything CCP says at this point.
I strongly suggest that the devs all go out for a beer within the next day or two and discuss the direction they see EVE going, and whether it really is the EVE they believe they were making. If they feel that this path CCP Hilmar is taking EVE is the right one, then I wish them all luck. But if they are like me, and see the writing on the wall, then I hope they have the courage to tell CCP Hilmar such, and convince him to remove the NeX store and never consider microtransactions as a means of generating revenue again.

Strange because not even a year ago they said they had no plans for ANY MTs at all. Look at us now, they used the same terminology then as they did now. The reason for all the outcry is because its obvious that CCP does have a plan to release non-vanity or at least want to keep that option open. If they didn't they would state such.
Waiting till it actually happens means it already too late. Those who actually do love the game don't want to see this happen so are hoping CCP gets the message. However that is not the only concern that people have with Eve and CCP and those concerns where made apparent with the release of Incarna. Development of Eve seems to have shifted, and not to whats best for the game, but to what will sell. Many features, bugs, aspects of Eve are broken and underdeveloped. These features have been like this for years yet are still ignored and put on "low priority" when compared to something like NeX or Incarna.

What I think almost everyone seems to have forgotten is that DUST not using subscription based model is funding itself entirely from MT.
CCP have already said that DUST and EvE are linked.
DUST players can by "better" armaments from the NeX store to beef up their team.
So yes CCP may have said they won't introduce "gold" ammo for EvE. But tehir whole business model relies on selling "gold" ammo for DUST. So I can see one of these "grey" areas a mile off. Buying your DUST bunnies better machine guns so they can better take over that planet with.
And you know what... I don't mind.
In all the weeks of this rage i haven't seen anyone else say this... unless it got buried and miles worth of threadnaughts...

I mentioned MT was about Dust, I'm sure others did too, somehwere in the avalanche of fake blood. It was never about MT. Dust and WoD are like an EVE road tax that ends up building a toll highway. People are sick of subscribing to WoD and Dust |
