I wanna do pvp, and I'm looking for small gang warfare instead of capital fleet blobs. I'm wondering if there is any of it left anywhere in 0.0, or should I just go join up an active corp in w-space instead? |

Small gang "warfare" doesn't really take place in wormholes; it's almost entirely just a gang ganking one guy they found. |

Edited by: Omniwing on 10/07/2011 16:56:31 Sometimes you can find those kind of fights can flipping. I hear FW plex camping / baiting gets you more 'bites' though. |

So you're saying that there's just no small-gang warfare anywhere?

Small fights happen in FW low-sec all the time. At least on the gallente/caldari front.

edit - we do lowsec and nulsec roams.

You can gets solo/small gang fights pretty much anywhere. I find them easiest in low sec but you can certainly get them elsewhere. FW is a good place to go for it. It tends to be blobby at the frontlines but if you hang out in rear areas you can get nice little skirmishes. Just expect a lot of waiting and looking. 90%+ of the eve player base is obsessed with kb stats so they won't engage unless they think they have an overwhelming advantage.

depends on ur skills
I would say (with my experience in all these):
1) Faction warfare - but u have to keep urself in lowsec and out of the politics 2) NPC nullsec (Syndicate or Stain) but u will be blobed time to time 3) RvB - but was there year ago 4) Smaller Merc groups - sometimes they have nice asignments
With ur request problem is to find right targets or have right amount of targets. Start flying nanoships and learn how to pilot them. U will be able to pickup targets from much stronger groups.

you can find small gang fights all over, even in nullsec other than the sov wafare front lines its mostly solo and small gang roaming.
The main differences.
Highsec Wars - limited target selection that may not even undock, lots of time spent station camping
RvB - operates under a fairly strict set of rules to keep it cheap, does not reflect the way combat in low/null works.
Pirate Lowsec - GCC and security status are still possible issues, gate guns are unforgiving to small ships, can be hard to find fights, lowsec pirates tend to be VERY risk averse so they generally only engage when they are certain to win.
Faction Warare - can find fights, fairly decent target selection that wont get you shot by gate guns, can still end up blobbed, kinda like nullsec without the bubbles or bombs as long as your engaging WTs.
W-Space - nullsec with no local and no supercaps, fights usually just involve roaming gangs ganking carebears and the odd pos bash.
NPC Null - the wild west, no gate guns, no sec status worries, bubbles, bombs, supercaps, blobs, you see it all here except for sov stuff.
Sov Null - depending on the alliance they either may all run and hide or drop a supercap on you or something in between, a good soloer or small gang can actually get some good fights raiding in sov null if they are good at avoiding the blobs.

So I see that FW seems like a good place for me, but won't that completely ruin my standings with whatever enemy faction I'm fighting?

W-space have both the gank of carebears and fighting against small fleets. In higher class wormholes it's not uncommon to have fleets with about 10-20 on each side with a couple of capitals.
Thoose w-space dwellers who just gank siterunners are missing out the most fun part

You can find small gang 1-10man fights all over eve, just get a small group of friends out. Worl on your fleet composition and go roam. If you meet a bigger gang and you cant tacticaly manuever them just dissengage and move on and im sure youl find a fight some other place =)
