So what exactly is in the next big expansion ccp? Ever since EON appeared devblogs have been sparse of content imo.
What are we heading towards for the winter expansion? There has been hints in the media it will be 0.0 centred.
Also there has been hints of devs saying they want to look at content for veterans like more goals ship wise.
More capitals.
Are we going to be seeing more faction capitals in the winter? If so will we also see npc capital mechanic more like belt spawns or lvl5 missions vs a serpentis carrier?
and there is the entire crew thing eon on crew are we expecting to have a crew come Christmas. If so any ruff idea what they will do?
can we expect the booster changes that some devs said they want to do? Give us something cmon. I am not interested in WIS i want more space content.

Seriusly, I dont want new stuff. I want all almost perfectly tuned up. Right now, EVE its like a old car that have been getting new parts for lots of years and now its making problems because the whole new setups are not tuned with themselves. Apart that some new parts are not top quality.

The Winter expansion will have three very important updates:
- Delayed local + new/upgraded dscan
- New nebula
- Engine trails/other effects
If they can get these right this expansion will be epic.

Right none of this "just fix current stuff" Yes we know stuff needs fixing and yes they should fix as much as they develop.
But for one we all know that we are gonna get new stuff like it or not and secondly we all know what needs fixing. No one knows wtf the next expansion is going to add. And lets be fair this is the first time for a few years we have had no idea what coming next.

I don't think new Caps or Vet ships + ship crew will be landing anytime soon to be honest. I'd rather they went back and finished off / updated Faction Warfare.

From the CSM minutes we can guess that the winter expansion will be a(nother) 0.0 revamp. Which will make it the fifth expansion cycle (structure bashing, sim city, space raids, captains closet, structure bashing again) that adds 0 content for low sec residents like me.
Oh well. But then again, low sec residents only make up 8% of the population, so that may be a piece of the game doomed to be forever ignored.

You're not getting new stuff. It's not your game. CCP is taking their money and making 2 other games with it. So you get the same space barbie game you have known and loved for years because it's absolutely perfect in every way. So hit that MT store and keep the funds rolling. So soon you can buy vampire games and FPS games and 2 other brand new MT stores full of all new barbie clothes.

* Captains quarters for the other 3 races is coming in increments during the summer and fall. Thus; yes they are coming and they technically counts as summer expansion.
* Winter expansion will bring you:
- Ice moved to 0.0. Prices of running a pos or jumping a cap will increase about 10x
- Local will be replaced by a scanner or an uppgrade of the existing scanner
- Ship rebalancing. Starting with EAS who apperantly are the least flown ship type in EVE. The balancing will begin by fiddeling with the cost. Wierd choice since people are happy to fly 75m ISK faction frigs in pvp but refuse to fly 20m ISK EAS.
- There may or may not be a new in-game system to rent out space you own.

Besides who isnt to say dust wont include station combat one day? you heard me you just cant dock at a station anymore you will have to send dust people to conquer it. Which, could be very cool!

The other CQs are Summer expansion stuff. There may be something related to smuggling and 'establishments' in the Winter expansion, but I'll believe it when I see it.

The operative word there is "simply". I believe it refers to the fact that switching Local to delayed mode will not happen all by itself, but will be accompanied by upgrades to dscan and/or other intel tools.

- A form of Anti-super capitals
- Balance Hybrid turrets
- Balance minmatar and gallente ship speeds
- Fix all current interface bugs
- Remodel a few more ships
It will be the best expansion to ever be seen.

Read the CSM minutes. You can find the pdf link in this dev blog.
From the Eve Future section:
"...in the upcoming expansions iteration on current features would have the lions-share of the attention. While iteration would be the primary goal, there would still be room for adding new content. Ideally this new content would be added as an iteration of a current feature."
"Conversation then moved onto the Winter expansion and what changes that would bring. A 0.0 rebalance and sovereignty re-design captured the attention of the CSM, though a special presentation devoted solely to these features was slated for a later time and thus a detailed discussion did not take place. Instead, the focus was on ôEstablishmentsö û the iteration of the CaptainÆs Quarters. Establishments will be coupled with an iterative feature on contraband. Torfi was concerned that, currently, smuggling contraband & boosters doesnÆt feel like the shady business practice it is. In EvE's next huge headline grabbing expansion which should arrive in fall of 2014, the door finally opens to reveal a nice little closet to hang your 30,000 Aurum coat. There will also be Caldari CQ which will be identical to the Minmatar one we have now, only with silvery grey paint instead of the rusty colour.
Then, soon after that epic expansion, 2018 will see the release of the Amarr CQ which is identical to the Caldari one except decorated in traditional Amarrian beige (jewish racing gold).
Just as we are all getting used to our new quarters, in 2027 we will see the awesome Gallente CQ put on hold as its a little bit too much effort and they are counting on everyone getting distracted with their latest 'innovating' and envelope pushing feature, 'pressing Spacebar to jump a bit'.
Of course between these hugely game enhancing expansions there will be the usual patches that fix random unnoticed things by breaking others and keeping everyone on their toes with more unexpected disconnects and downtimes per patch. Faction warfare should be revisited in 2039 then quickly chucked aside due to 'bikers gloves' being developed for the Nex store and they are so manly that everyone is going to want a pair (14,000 AUR per hand or 35,000 AUR for a pair, you have to remember these are real digital pixel clothes).
I had fun writing this tbh, felt like I was writing a devblog.
