Greetings all. I've been working away on a little iphone\ ipod touch app that lets you read you eve mail. Its almost nearing completion so I've decided to throw it out to be beta tested. In order for it to retrieve your messages it requires a full api key, and currently does not display any mailing lists (unless there is a big demand for that kinda thing to be added in).
Screenshots! - graphics are not final yet as it is still in beta :) Character select screen Mail box Add account screen Mail Message
So! How do you go about testing i hear you ask, well the main requirement is that you have an iphone \ ipod touch with at least iOS4.0 The next step is to head on over to Here . This site will ask you to sign up and will add you to the testing team for the app, you will then recieve an email when a new build of the app is ready for download. Once you have succsufully signed up you will have an app downloaded onto your phone called 'Testflight" this app manages what betas are available for you to download. If you want to find out more about this process i suggest heading to www.testflightapp.com There will be a bit of a delay between when you sign up and when you will be able to start testing, the reason for this is that after you sign up i have to resign and rebuild the app so that it will run on your device, as such i will most likely wait a day or two before posting an updated build so i can have it work for as many people as possible
All feedback and suggestions are welcome, and if you have any features you think that it could use let me know either on the forums here, via testflight or evemail.

Yes - I'm interested. I'm fed up with the silly eve gate interface on Ipad. I like to be able to send eve mail that has more than one line... is this read only?

Sorry, the api only allows reading of mail.

The second account should show up in the main character select page. Do your character names appear in the account list when you added them? If so, try swiping along the small character icons on the character select page. Its not obvious yet (I still have to figure out some ui element to indicate this) but the two smaller characters on the select page scroll to reveal the rest of the characters added on your accounts.

The app is progressing nicely. I have recently added what i hope is an easy method for loading api keys into the app. The basic rundown of this method is that you send yourself an email with a text file attached, inside the textfile is your api info, when opening this specifcally named file on your iphone\ipad the app will prompt you to launch it and will then read in the info from the file. The full explanation can be found http://sites.google.com/site/gilliesau/projects/pod-mail
If any Russian \ japanese people would like to help out i would greatly appreciate it, all I would need is for you to send me an evemail in russian \ japanese so i can see if the app displays it correctly or completly explodes :)

Have you tired typing in a 64 character api key in on a phone? Not always the easiest task.
This reminds me, I really should set up my EVO to get evemail again.
