Has any thought been given to having the security status of systems change in accordance with the level of traffic using them? I'm thinking of empire space here of course.
It seems logical that the level of concord activity should be responsive to the prevalence of pod pilots in order to provide a proportionate level of protection. There are relatively uninhabited hi-sec systems, with very low levels of traffic but high concord presence. Also busy low-sec systems on key trade routes, but with a lower presence in the latter. If Concord are deploying their resources intelligently, it just doesn't make sense!
Evolving system sec status would add another player-determined dynamic to the game and mix things up a bit, which would be a good thing imho.
Get over it! Learn from your mistake and move on. |

If we were to model it after RL dynamics, systems with high traffic should drop in security level.
Which would mean Jita becoming a 0.1 system overnight. Sounds good the more I think about it.

I'd only say yes if it was only to happen during incursions events.

Yes only if i am able to drop the security status of a low-sec system to a point where i can make money from it (I.E. Better rats)

What about 0.0 hubs? I'd bet all the sanctum runners and ABC miners would be kind of ****ed when their sovereignity turns to 1.0 space. -------- Enemy corps raided into disbandment: Three.

It has been suggested multiple times in the correct part of the form for this idea, features and idea's.
Given how much is tied to security level such as POS anchoring, POS module use, capital use etc. It would break the game, it would the current block of hi sec would end up being broken up, area's of 0.0 and low sec would become in passable to capital ships etc.
Also given the amount of suicide attacked etc in Jita and the resulting number of concord ships it would end up being the most secure point in game with a rating of 2.0.
you would find alliances sending pilots are large gangs out to raise the sec status of specific systems in there area to get it up to 0.5 so the enemy cannot bring in their capital fleet while theirs are are already logged off in position in case of attack.
Also if an alliance has a number of high value POS in a system, as soon as the enemy bring in their fleet to attack them, the sec status will do up stopping capitals from being used. Not to mention: Why would CONCORD give a **** about defending space owned by evil pirates? -------- Enemy corps raided into disbandment: Three.
