Over the past few days i've done an extremely rough survey by opening client and writing down player numbers. The pattern is (using eve time) 00:00~32.6k 02:00~32.0k 04:00~29.4k 06:00~26.8k 08:00~22.6K 10:00~21.8k 12:00~22.1k 14:00~23.2k 16:00~24.3k 18:00~30.0k 20:00~39.6k 22:00~44.8k 24:00~35.8k online. This is very rough average over a few days, it could be used to say things like "I was run over by a truck". It can not tell you the type of truck ,how much the truck weighed, how fast it was going - none of that. It can give a person an intuitive feel for what the numbers mean thou and its curious to compare the numbers to a time zone map.. say http://www.worldtimezone.com/

Your point in this post?
Not trying to start an argument, just fail to understand the meaning of the post.

I have a conclusion , a mostly formed opinion, but i would much rather have someone comment on the numbers and see if thier independent conclusion is similar to mine.

I'm curious how the addition of Japanese players will effect this?

It probably helps if you wrap the numbers...connect the last with the first cylinder-like. Those look like the average population numbers since Summer started (school let out.) It helps to consider the three major populations, Australia/New Zealand, the UK and the US. There's a tiny dead spot where it's either too late, or too early to be out of bed.
To get a good overall view, grab the weekend stats. I have to also say, despite the uproar to the contrary, this supposed Exodus from EVE over Incarna hasn't really affected the numbers in a noticeable way. If I were the management I wouldn't be panicked.
Please wait as this sig- nature finishes loading

I think he has two points he's making. 1) He needs to get a life; living in Mommy's basement is having an effect on his brain. 2) He needs to get a job.

Before to many of the less thoughtful posters get in I will share my opinion/observation. First i'm operating under the assumption there was a drop in people online since incarna. Now on to the fun part. To me it looks as if Incarna had no effect in Russia, a minimal effect in eastern europe, with an increasing effect thru UK to a very large effect in US and Australia. Almost as thou it was a social/geological phenomena. Laugh all you want. You guys who like to play with numbers check me and give a shout.

well heres the deal.
keep moaning about numbers and CCP will pull a SWG on us and either remove the number altogether is simply replace it with a static count.
that is of course if the number actually reflects player numbers anyhow and isn't a big sham

Thank you for the google link. The graphs will make watching much easier and fun. Whatever is happening or not it's exciting..kind of like watching another chapter in mmo history.
