Its really not a big deal to me, i bought goodies for RL money and hey i knew what i was doing, i bought the items believeing that they where of a specific luxurious standard and would stay in that assigned level of luxury, (silly me lolz) and i figured seeing as ÇÇP moved the goal posts over night that i would ask for a fefund on the price difference they introduced overnight (800AUR to be exact), they said NO!
Nowi can live with that, no problem, my only irc on this is the principle of it, (was always told, if you dont ask, you dont get) i mean had they even re-embursed me the 800AUR, its not like i could have bought anything with it anyway lol, it's just the fact there customer service was rubbish and the whole "greed is good" thing was fresh in my mind, i do feel slightly cheated for lack of a better word, but not overly so that im gonna cry in to my cornflakes over it lolz, but a store with good customer service is a store im happy to spend my money in, NEX will not be getting any more of my money thats for sure;)

Could I be the first to point out that as "Crazy" as the price of that shirt is; it still doesn't cost the equivalent of half a dozen aircraft carriers like most of the clothes in the eve universe?

Check the market for NeX items first, I've seen a few things go on there go for quite a few million ISK less than what the Aur value of the item is, and quite a number more than the amount of Plex needed to convert to Aur.
Guess some people couldn't work out the ISK to Aur exchange rate
Also buying with ISK means you don't have lost ISK converted as left over Aur. So my advice, if you want a NeX item, scout the market first.

Priceless!
nope
he did not just buy a dress, he bought items that were marketed as having a certain level of exclusivity (and this exclusivity makes up most of their value).
after his purchase ccp did decide to reduce the exclusivity of these items and as such destroy some of their value.
If the NeX clothes were purely functional, cheap and wide-spread you would have a point - he got exactly what he paid for and should be happy with that regardless of the price changes (workers in the vineyard etc).
But in this case CCP robbed him off value he had already paid for.

Except, of course, that they had already publicly announce there would be price tweaks that would happen. He chose to buy it regardless.
Again, there has been a large outcry for them to reduce the prices in the NeX... especially on items just over the 3500AUR mark.
They did exactly as they were asked, and in return get flamed.
And you wonder why they don't pay as much attention to the forums anymore. I would'nt pay much attention to the idiot and troll minority either.

Edited by: Ranger 1 on 20/07/2011 18:06:54 That wasn't your original point, but okay, now you are claiming it's wrong for CCP to come out with more expensive variations of something that you purchased.
Really... that makes sense to you?
Different color, different trim, different buttons it doesn't really matter what it is that is different (or perceived to be different) that makes it more valuable to the buying public. If they feel that gold trim is worth a bit more to people to feel even more "elite" they have every right to do so.
You really don't have a leg to stand on in this aspect either.

Quick, Buy em before they are gone, because once they are gone.... um... well, we will just magic a whole load more to sell for your RL $$$!
Anyway, to the OP: Sucks you got burnt, thx for the warning, you have just shown how little CCP knows about running the store. You probably would have bought more items in the future, but they just lost you as a customer.
--- Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum I can tell you that this is one of the moments when we look at what those at CCP will do and less of what they say. |

Prices dropped a week ago.
And that's the reason I'm not going to buy anything during at least first few months: there is high chance CCP will change pricing policy and these items will cost few pennies (monocles included).

When a video game goes on sale mere days after you bought it, would you go to the store and ask for a refund equal to the difference? You're an idiot.

Originally by: Astra Rossou Just to warn anyone thinking of buying anything anytime soon from the NEX store, id wait if i where you, i "STUPIDLY" bought a few items from the store, only to see that a couple of days later, the price dropped!
Woman's "Sterling"Dress Blouse (Platinum) Oringinaly priced at 3.600 AUR....now 2.900 AUR Woman's "Impress" Skirt (Gray) Oringinaly priced at 3.600AUR...now 3.500 AUR
not a "HUGE" price change, but money is money,
I then Petitioned this and asked what was going on and would we recieve a refund for this only to be told that prices are subject to change whenever they feel its right to do so, so be warned shoppers, buy an item at 3.500 AUR (20Ç) and a day later they can cut the price to whatever they like, thus you being the loser in the situation.
Its pretty safe to say that im done with the NEX store lol, i wont be buying anything else from here on out, talk about biting the hand that feeds you CCP!
Ha sucker.
Why do you think I am waiting? The prices will fall over time when CCP realises no one is hardly buying their virtual crap or its getting a bit old. We all play the waiting game and CCP will drop the prices because no one is buying it. Their Nex store will fail and they will have to rethink the pricing strategy.

No that wasn't my original point lol, you said that CCP made things cheaper, emmm, not really, as i pointed out, they added MORE EXPENSIVE versions of the same product, even more expensive than before in fact, and i never said i had a leg to stand on, if you had'nt noticed, i started the thread, i pointed out my faults on buying the product in the first place, this thread is mearly to warn others of making the same mistake i did

not everyone likes to give away money as you seem to do - depending on the nature of the sale chances are pretty good I would get at least a partial refund (maybe as a gift card, voucher, ...)
