Wasn't sure where to post this, but I have been having a beef with this game lately. I am a female in real life. From what I have seen, there aren't many of us. It bugs me when I see people saying, how can we attract more females? Finally there are even more options for customizing and dressing a character. But now, there are extremely cute clothes, and guess what! I can't afford them, because of noble exchange. I find this very counterproductive to the mission of attracting another source of gamers. And why are the clothes still so ugly? Must it be all "spacy"? Can't there be dresses? Shoes other than boots? Maybe an option for nail polish? I may be a girl, but I can still be a very, girly girl. We try to be badass to compete, but there are moments where all I want to do is have a female character where I can be wow, she is sexier than me. I cannot accomplish that with the options given.... And it is frustrating when I see so many cuter options and have no access to it. I know that it is "technically" equal to have noble exchange, but then there should already be options like that in the regular customization options!
So basically, something girly would be nice! Thanks

Edited by: Azahni Vah''nos on 21/07/2011 05:24:34 It seems that the designer for the early EvE Incarna/WiS clothing was moved to WoD and has been working on that for the last few years.

And this Gallante Jin'Mei
The current range of clothing doesn't look like Harpa Einarsdottir designs, so my guess is someone with little ability to make futuristic looking and elegant clothing took over.
I quite like Harpa's style and it's a shame we didn't see her original designs in game.
Also sadly now anything even remotely decent in looks will have a ludicrous AUR price tag attached to it.

I could do without all the Goths In Space crap, glad to see her style got bumped to WoT where it belongs.
As another IRL girly girl: Everything is so damned dark looking except for a few shirts. Apparently, everyone in the future REALLY likes wearing black and brown. I do like SOME of the stuff I've seen on SiSi (not available on TQ yet) like the stiletto heels and womens' executor coat, but aside from that it's more of the same dark stuff.
Aside from that, why not Hawaiian shirts and Bermuda shorts for men? Why no crossdressing? Why is it that Amarr/Khanid men can wear a long flowing robe (for free), but I can't have an equally flowing dress?

So you do realise that the 'goth' type images from that gallery are for WoD and not EvE don't you. It's some of her design work for both games.

They haven't yet reached the point in time when they cater to everyone's personal desires and break the 'EVE' feeling of items/goods in order to make lots of dough. When that happens we can become furries, old school pirates, fish people, werewolves, vampires, Spanish Conquistadors, Ogres, Elves, some dude wearing a cardboard box robot costume that is a morphed vehicle of some sort etc.
Until then you have to deal with the **** slow output and stupid crazy pricing to gouge players out of cash. Slowly they will add more lame crap until they run out of lame crap and/or realize that they need to add stuff that doesn't suck. Then there will be a delay in the not sucking department but probably even a bigger lag in realistic pricing if that ever happens before they cave and we get furries and demon tails.
TLDR: Barbies in space is in it's infant stage and is still crawling you are asking it to run, chillax CCP will get your money soon enough.

I want blue Lady Gaga "Poker Face" leotard and Pole Dancing V / Space Ho V skills to extort ISKies from passers-by in stations. Included in "subscription fee" (a.k.a. "4 hours of farming incursions") of course.
But really - after making game more casual by disabling mission agents quality, NPC jamming and scrambling - it could be logical to add free brights clothes to attract more bored housewives into the game.

Something about us females looking at you're face/eyes when we talk to you - and we notice when you're eyes go from our face to our breasts/ass :)
P.s - I have issues paying more for females clothing knowing men pay less.

I'd be interested to hear what your true-female take is on my notion about fashion. Prices are certainly off; but I also think there's simply way too little choice. And most of it looks rather crappy, to be honest; like the still hopelessly manly Women's Sterling Dress Blouse. They really need some good fashion designers to even begin to justify the insane pricing.

I guess they realized nobody looking like this is likely to be skippering a ship with thousands of crew and being a harsh ruler over vast colonies. The clothes that are available make you loook out of character a little the clothes in the design make you look like a clown.

I have dreadlocks in real life. Due to my racial characteristics (Caldari Deteis), I cant have dreadlocks for my avatar. This makes me a sad bunny. Don't care about the clothes i wear (never have, in RL or in game), i just want my hair to look perdy!!

Hmm, nail polish will prolly never happen because it's such a small scale thing, just like rings, and etc basically anything not visible in the avatar shot is probably going to get the least attention which is what we've seen so far with most of the NEX clothing and the spartan shoe collection.
Knowing I will get trolled hard for this, I have to say even as a guy, I am pretty disappointed with the shoes available for all my avatars whether male or female. I either get combat boots, weird ... camo tennis shoes, or leather boots. Now, I wear leather motorcycle boots and work boots all the time in real life, so it is kind of silly that I come here and, well I get the choice of wearing pretty much the same thing, LOL.
Some variety would be nice basically, I am not more curious as to whether CCP will release more free fancy stuff, as I am that they simply give us more options like we always had in the past.
If I want to have some crazy breathalyzer mask on my Minmatar character, I should be able to do so without an extra $14.95 or without having to wait 12-24 months for CCP to finally get some new artwork out that we once had readily available.
In the grand scheme of things at least, I personally only care about clothing, accessories, and options from the neck up, even on my female avatar, she just looks better with a face shot than showing off some bazooka boobs or something silly like 99% of the guys who roll female avatars love doing. The avatars look better with B/C because of the body options period, anything bigger makes them look comical at best, lol.
So yea, at the least, I would hope CCP releases more face options for gear, accessories, and features, that would hopefully satisfy the inner girly girl of female subscribers at least until the point at which WiS were to become a reality and actual interaction were part of the game, and would marginally entertain the male subscribers with better options to accessorize like they do as well (though I am sure some would never admit it, but I have redone one of my male avatars about 20x to get his face shot right), with the breathalyzers and the crazy face visors and whatnot.

On the other hand, we know those would be the first 1,000 AUR earrings ever...
