Hi, I've been thinking .. with the superior neuting ability of the sleepers nowadays, what kind of cap stability % wise, would say ... a legion (or any Amarr ship, using energy turrets) need to solo all c3 sites?
I fly Amarr only, and I am heavily invested in Lazorz. I am quite interested in flying the Legion through wormholes, showing sleepers who's boss. My missile skills suck, so HAM legion is out of the question.
Thanks in advance.

Edited by: betty drunkenlord on 22/07/2011 16:50:27 generally 6 cap/s per frig, 12 cap/s per cruiser and 24 cap/s per battleship, check in eve-survival which sleeper types are neuting.

I run C3 sites in a Legion for both solo and fleet operations. As with mission running, cap stable is not a necessity, but a luxury. My current fit has enough cap to run everything for about 6 min, and I only have to warp out maybe once every 20 sites or so. And that is normally the one with the two BS Upholders and that depends on how close they spawn to me.

I'd have to dig around and find the link...
But a guy did some in depth investigation of the new Sleeper neuts back before the change went live.
His end result said, for the most part, 60% stable will survive.
That being said, my C3 solo Legion sits at about 65% with everything running. - Explosions!

Dear Padawan,
I was heavily trained and invested in all things Gallente until I started running C3's. At that point, I trained for a Tengu when it became apparent how useless Gallente are for w-space. My missile skills sucked too.
Since I've gotten the Tengu and the missile skills I use it for PVE and my Gallente skills for PVP. And all is good. So don't worry. Go for the Tengu.
Look at it from this perspective. Which T3 is going to take you all the way from a C1 to a C5? Unfortunately, it's not going to be a Loki or Proteus or Legion. The Tengu is king in w-space pve. So, go ahead and train it.
As for cap stability? In a Tengu I shoot for >50%. I'm currently maintaining 54% and running C4's with friends using remote rep modules. We don't have to warp out and back in because damage is too much or our cap is being drained to 0. It's all good.
Oh, another thing, we don't have to worry about crappy DPS at 90Km since we get the same amount at 90Km that we do at 1Km. So, we don't have to waste cap on AB or MWD is order to get into range. We don't have to worry about tracking issues. And we don't have to worry about launching/recalling drones constantly virtually nullifying the DPS they're capable of.
Tengu is your friend, my friend.

What he said.
I've gone higher with the cap %, I sit at 80.1% but I have no local tank and use carrier support. Radars will still shut off the invuls if I dont drop them quickly. (C4)
