Astonishing news reached Gutter Press about a raid by Caldari marines on a University of Caille teaching hospital in Bourynes!
An eyewitness reports seeing squads of marines, with markings similar to one of the Hakatain dynasties, break into the UoC facility, and abduct several of the patients, including one described as a "tall tattooed man", who is rumoured to be a capsuleer!
Incredible!
The facility staff issued denials of there being any such incident, claiming that the witnesses "suffer from delusions", and that "nothing was taken". The facility head went on to claim that anyone claiming to have seen anything at all is probably suffering from hallucinations or other problems.
Suspicious!
Other University of Caille personnel reported that there was a "minor incident, no serious injuries or fatalities occurred.", and deny that there were any abductions of Federation citizens by Caldari forces.
Several employees were on the verge of saying something, however a senior officer arrived, and then all further questioning was met with the answers "I can't talk about that." and "There is nothing to say on this matter."
Worrying!
Other neuroscience researchers that Gutter Press are acquainted with blame corporate espionage and governmental meddling on the incident, rather than the Caldari Menace. "I am quite certain that Poteque would be behind this, seeking to obtain the benefits of government research for themselves" said a researcher with Egonics. "I blame Quafe" said another researcher, with Duvolle, "Quafe are never up to anything that is entirely above board".
Quafe were unreachable for a reply at the time of writing.
One thing is certain. Whoever is covering this up will make a mistake at some point, and the Truth will be revealed!

I have received a number of messages concerning this report and The EVE Observer article, requesting a statement.
My policy is, and will remain, that I do not comment on any reports concerning Hakatain Dynasty assets, regardless of the accuracy or lack thereof of said reports.
This will be my only response to this alleged incident.

So, let me see if I got this straight: Something may or may not have happened inside a Gallente teaching hospital, but no one has any meaningful details - other than the fact that no one's hurt.
There are no actual facts to be reported, only "suspicions" and "worries."
Someone may or may not be hiding something, but again, no one knows for sure. That someone could be Caldari, Gallente or from anywhere else, really...
Incredible, suspicious and worrying? Not quite.
Sensationalistic, vague and inconclusive? Most definitely.

Mr. Hakatain, you should know better than this. If you hadn't said anything, very few, if any, would connect you to this incident, whatever it involved. However, by popping up here to make a pretty specific "no comment", it's fairly obvious that you are involved with it.
So, either you've made a mistake, or you want peop'e to know you've been up to something. I wonder why that would be? - - -

I said something precisely because people HAVE, rightly or wrongly, connected me with this incident.
If anybody chooses to interpret my lack of comment one way or another, that is their concern. -

Since this incident took place onboard a Federation station, and pertains to capsuleers, I'm sure it'll be a good idea if we said we would be investigating this incident. It's more than likely, however, that the boat has long since past. ------------ Lum Gen Seriphyn Inhonores FDU Commanding Officer, Eleutherian Guard |

Cowardy Gallente press. No facts only rumors. But already blaming Caldari for something that may be or may be not happened within Gallente space. Less Quafe drinking by Gallente reporters might be a good idea or perhaps hospital toxicologists may confirm Quafe intoxication levels well above acceptable in that reporter blood. What at all she was doing at that hospital in the first place since it is obvious she could not get these rumors on outside if everyone in hospital may or may not confirm any kind of accident. Caldari State honoring other states borders and would never send marines to abduct some capsuleer. But of course Gallente newspapers will do anything to make a story even if there is no story to blame Caldari of wrongdoing. |

Caldari by birth Gallente by philosophy Too bad there is no immigration to Gallente Federation for capsuleers Caldari ships anyway better looking and not all green alien feel type as Gallente like to build. Yes i would like to see democracy as Gallente have it in Caldari State. But i cannot stand silent seing such astonishingly obvious to any thinking man lies against honest Caldari State and have to voice my concern to point out that this story was all made up by some Quafe overintoxicated journalist mostly to make excuse in front of her employer why she missed a day in office and been found in hospital. What would be better explanation then "Caldari marines abduction" story. |

Ah, my mistake. Of course, anyone can call themself a "Gallentean" without needing to change themselves, their culture, or thinking.
Apologies. Criticizing our media is a key part of being a Gallentean. |

Edited by: Alex Sinai on 26/07/2011 17:10:30 Ahh thank you. But official Gallente citizenship would be so nice for the heart of capsuleer who want to change allegence. May be one day Gallente Federation will change it's policies concerning immigration of capsuleers and finally grant these willing to plege allegence citizenships. Currently only children of immigrants into Gallente space can become capsuleers. But capsuleers of other nations denied their most basic right that Gallente democracy allow to all non-capsuleers. Of course journalists of Gallente Federation never pick so boring topic as capsuleer immigration allowance. "Hospital invasion by Caldari marines" is much more interesting and look so good on front page of holoscreen.

Edited by: Alex Sinai on 26/07/2011 17:18:31 You just caught my full undivided attention. How is it possible? Direct application to President of the Federation? A special procedure of some kind? Or a vote by majority of Gallente people to allow capsuleer immigration law? I'm all ears. |

You know, Alex, if you truly wanted to demonstrate loyalty to the Federation you could work your way up and join their militia. You wouldn't have any official citizenship, but then capsuleers are basically supra-national entities anyway. Besides, the honor of having a Federation rank on your shoulder should more than sate your desire for official Federation status.
This is coming from someone who has been in both the Minmatar and Caldari militias, mind you. ------- I spy with my third eye crimson clouds beyond the horizon... |

I can understand how you would think that letting the working class actually have a say in government would be inefficient. Just imagine how they might actually demand proper education, working conditions and health care from their government. They might even start refusing to die in pointless wars on the whim on a CEO. It could all be so disastrous for profit, and we can't let poor people get in the way of that right?

The Gallente Federation would seek to impose policies that would weaken the Caldari State and thus keep us in the shadow of the Federation.

Helping those most in need is not 'weakening' anything except perhaps the pockets of those who would exploit the people for their own personal gain.

You've never been to the State, have you? That's not quite an accurate view.
The Caldari overall are very educated; they have access to education in areas in which they show promise. So, for example, if an individual were to work hard and show their worth in the field of science their efforts would be recognized by their corporation and they would receive further education in that field. It's proportional to how hard a citizen is willing to work in their school years and on. With that being said, I do quite admire the Federation's egalitarian attitude. Their business attitudes I'm not so fond of, as it is for individual profit rather than communal profit (which is the style of capitalism the Caldari employ, believe it or not).
And as for pointless wars, I'd say all of the hisec empires send their citizens off to pointless wars whether it be in the name of CEO, Empress, President, or Tribal Elder. Regardless of what they call their leader, people all over the cluster fall on the sword for them.

Well, the thing is, we already have all of that and more.
So long as you're an active member within the Caldari society, you'll have access to all the commodities and services you'll ever need.
It's only the rare ones who refuse to contribute and/or follow a very basic set of rules - mostly based on honor, humility and respect - who end up struggling. But even those can pull themselves up, through hard work and sheer determination.
Also, I do believe there are far more underprivileged and outright homeless people living within Federation borders, than within the State. Or so I've been told...

I think you might find that the Honourable Mr. Keating was making a general point about the relationship between profit-driven corporations and their workers, rather than the State in particular.
Mr. Keating's point could as easily be applied to any Gallente corporation.

Yes thank you Ms. Severasse, and even now many of the esteemed members of the senate seek to subvert the protections that the Federation was founded upon. But that's a story for another time.
