Each time I run EVE I have a "blue screen of death" during the shutdown of my computer. I don't even need to RUN the game, the login window is enough. I have this problem since I ran the game on my computer but without any concequences. But since a few days I have got a scandisk after each crash. No need to say I have no problem if I don't launch EVE.
Anyone has an idea ? The blue screen message is about "IRQ LESS OR EQUAL" or something.
(why there is no search function here ?)

This blue screen message indicates driver incompabilities (with each other or hardware). I'd suggest you look it up at Microsoft Knowledge Base. Can't help much more unless you write what hardware and drivers version you have here.

Edited by: Jayne Raynolds on 25/02/2005 17:58:34 By setting the audio option into the prefs.ini file to 0, I have managed to identify my "SoundBlaster Live! Value" as the source of my problem. It looks like a simple "update driver" from the XP "configuration panel" has manage to solve it. WOW ! First time I see this feature working.
Thanks.

Yep, I have this too. "IRQ LESS OR EQUAL" etc on shutdown. No other crippling problems, but something obviously isnt right. I have an Athlon 2200, 512Ram, GF4600ti with nvidia 61.77 driver, audigy s.card. Like Ed though, I only get this BSOD shutting down after Eve. Curious. Any ideas welcome, as typing the error into google yielded too much bafflement for little old me.

Please post the exact wording of the BSOD you get. Me or some other forum goer may be able to offer some help then. _________________________________________________________

IRQ LESS OR EQUAL Are notoriously vague, but they refer to a general hardware or software problem.
Try updating to the latest drivers.

If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU.

I took a quick note of the message: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Then it rambles a bit about how it does this to prOtect the system. Then: Technical Information ***STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xE226CC0D)
Any ideas?
