I was thinking maybe each ship hull should have a custom explosion and wreck. What do you guys think?

But as far as custom wrecks and individual class explosions I think we can safely say that the art department doesn't have the resources right now or ever for those shenanigans. Art development takes FOREVER in this game.
edit: I'd rather the art people fix the lazy pallet-swaps on T2 and faction variants and actually have some noticeable physical differences with their T1 counterparts beyond color, like they did in Classic.

I would support this IF, we got collisions and damage from explosions in the game also, otherwise it's waste of resources...
EVE needs a Fleet Size nerf, a total ship and module overhaul on the looks and effects (some of this is coming, but it needs to be global) and we need a better movement system - no more bumpy spiny non-aligny mess.. we need it so:
1. Ships come out of warp in one direction and still moving, not stopping due to space-resistence drag. 2. we need ships to NOT bump and get all bent in other directions. 3. we need fleet formations (and probe formations also). 4. we need collisions - you hit something you get some damage, nerf it so that it's not fatal, just to be avoided, then people will fly with more precision, and ranges will not be point blank - then you can fix blasters with a small range buff and targets will not be ramming around so the tracking issue will be come moot, then rebalance the ranges accordingly for the new short med long and we are there. 5. Then your idea... would be spectacular - nice ships battles with formations and manuvering (in Tie-Dye) with all the eye-candy of any Sci-Fi movie... and with 3D monocles!
I DON'T CARE IF THAT "DOOR" EVER GOES ANYWHERE - and raise prices on NeX, bleed the foppish idiots dry!

Strange indeed when you know that the new scorp and maller where done by one dude as a side project eh.
Maybe the guys at the art team need to be assigned to side projects more often then the main ones. |
