The Yan Jungs immigrated into New Eden through the EVE Gate eons ago. From where, is unknown, though the fragments of text it has been possible to translate talk about a mysterious "middle kingdom". The Yan Jungs settled in the system of Deltole, though it is suspected they also colonized other systems, even in far off places. The planets of Deltole V and VI appears to have been in particular inhabitable for the Yan Jungs. The reason for their disappearance remains unknown.

We can infer many things about the Yan Jungs' technology. Given their focus on Gravitronic systems, they likely used Gravimetric sensor and propulsion systems of superior design. Maybe even capable of detecting cloaked ships and achieving conventional speed of light travel, if we read into the above entry a bit.
The Tachyon Stetoscope has implications in faster than light communications and travel.
They likely used powerful shielding systems. They used nanites and their armor repair systems were likely of superior design, as well. Their ability to decrypt many binary cyphers is attested to in their Cosmos missions. All in all, the Yan Jungs were likely far beyond current technology levels.
Technology the Jovians seem to have acquired, as well.
Culturally, their are numerous sources better than I to describe how the peoples of the Orient compose themselves.. Bhuddism, Taoism, socialistic inclined mentallity, structured society, conservative values... The bloodlines survive in the Jin Mei(Chinese), Achura (Korean), Caldari(Japanese), Khanid(Mongol) and perhaps other "races" I have forgotten to mention...
Given the animosity some Jovians have expressed toward the Yan Jungs, I feel it safe to assume there is no love lost between them. The only question left in my mind, is, did the Yan Jungs succumb to a natural or man made disaster? Is it a possibility that there are Yan Jung consciousness' in The Construct?

Nice I missed that but it does tie in with something else I did find.

Here's one for everyone to ponder.. Yan Jung Silk Armor as a wetware application...
Quote: A good example of these technologies include the work of Chris Voigt, who redesigned the Type III secretion system used by Salmonella typhimurium to secrete spider silk proteins, a strong elastic biomaterial, instead of its own natural infectious proteins. It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then, and it's a poor sort of memory that only works backward.

Or, how about this one... Compare this and this.. See an implication? See a possibility for dating the Yan Jung culture's downfall? Apparently, some of the cluster already knows.. It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then, and it's a poor sort of memory that only works backward.

Of note the second component (found on Matar) failed where the first made it to Anoikis. This is also hinted as being before the Jovian disease. With the first and second empires of Jove existing millenia ago and the third empire forming "roughly half a millenia ago amidst the devastation of the Jovian Disease" the reason the component, made roughly 1000 years after the intial success, failing is likely sabotage or corrupt information.
Bearing in mind that Warp Core stability was favoured by the Yan Jung Nation and Inertial Stabilizers were favoured by the Sleepers, the likelihood of the second component failing as technology advanced over 1000 years is remote. Chieran's aide compares the component with an equalizer, the primary use of which is harmonics and frequency response. No idea if this ties in with Superlubricity but it stands out. If it was to dissipate energy from the engines across the structure to protect structural integrity design modifications must have caused the failure, or option 3 - the material used. |

A cool way to re-introduce the Yan Jung would be to utilise a variation of their technology to decloak a ship around the EVE Gate using an event near Deltole for the tech. Speculation is in the history section of the EVE Gate
Until then they are the only "Truly Dead" ancient race at the minute.
I'd be curious as to the manipulation of Gravitrons and the instability of the EVE Gate vs the Promised Land Stable Wormhole and flux (which Sansha was able to Equalize to allow passage)
