Not really thought of it that way. But indirectly isn't that what they said they were doing in the event that the market should fall? I say let them cash in/out based upon eve wide isk/aur ration. It's not going to harm the plex buyers/sellers. Those that are buying are doing so are either doing it because they aren't paying to play or they are doing something market wise. Taking Plex out of circulation for whatever reason only increases the buying pressure. Maybe release the idea of converting isk to aurum for only Aurum to isk. Then if you want to gamble, you must buy plex first convert and can exit with isk but not the other way around. That puts pressure on Plex prices for sure then.

Then you would be able to convert plex to isk without using the market, that would be that same as CCP selling isk directly.

As it works now plex is not adding new isk to the game, if CCP should start to artificially create isk from plex it would inflate the value of isk. If anything aur should be sold to other players, which may be possible in the future when you can trade aur between players, maybe it would be possible to make contracts with aur.

Thank you for explaining it in terms that these rather... clinically paranoid people can understand,
And thank you, as well, for failing to understand the entire point behind this thread. Maybe if I put it very bluntly, with as many monosylabic words as possible your brain will be able to grasp the concept.
CCP made the NEX. CCP is working more on the NEX than Flying in Space. A (possibly large) group of people who support CCP do not like this idea. Using freedom of speech, we are saying we do not like this.
Also, the NEX goes against Flying in Space and a (possibly large) group of players do not want anything to do with it. We do not want, through inaction, the acceptance of gifts, or blanket freebies, to support the NEX in any way.
We know we can refrain from spending it. We would just rather not be given it in the first place.
In the end, you are still spending hours and days of your life waging a moral war on words over imaginary clothing in an imaginary video game, meanwhile I go to sleep perfectly content at night knowing that there are in fact, many more things in this world to concern myself with. Until CCP sells non-vanity items on the NEX, this moral war of yours is naive at best. The way of life is through renewal, only the profoundly inane do not understand that nothing lasts forever. The fact that CCP has held out this long before starting to look on the horizon towards other projects is a miracle in and of itself. I too wish they would focus on, breathe, eat, and sleep internet spaceships, but then I am no longer a child intellectually and have come to accept reality of the world around me for what it is. I do not always get what I want, in fact I probably would not be a very happy person if I did.
Who is the one who has trouble understanding? Maybe you should step outside every now and then and gain some perspective.

I got ya, didn't really think of the isk faucet mindset. Well, needless to say, there is a way to make the idea work and i think we could do it. But it would only ever be successful if folks like us discuss it.
As to PLEX and new isk.. no they aren't making new isk. The primary faucet is shooting rats. Has been and will always have to be (IMO). But there is nothing that says CCP has found they have a deficiency in buyers of PLEX and are periodically purchasing PLEX to keep the market alive which would be the same as turning PLEX to isk. They would have the capacity to make a toon with an endless supply of isk to soak up the excess PLEX off market to keep people buying them to fund their new shiny ships to go get SPLODED.

If CCP starts to buy out plex, then yes that would be the same as injection isk into the game. That scenario is probably less likely then CCP adding plex to the game, i think players would start to stockpile plex before the prices reached a critical lower price limit. I don't know what boundaries CCP has set for healthy plex prices, but unless something like the NeX store has a great impact on the market i think normal market forces will keep the prices in check.
In the end i think CCP sees the possible artificial price control of plex as the less of two evils, unless plex is not attractive to both buyer and seller the system don't work. And at the moment plex is the only legit way to buy isk, if the plex system don't work some players will probably start to look for "black market" rmt sites to buy isk.

Pride. Getting the last word in. Righteous indignation. Trolling. The challenge of making an asinine request to opt out of free aurum without being blatantly asinine about it. Frustration with the future of Eve. Slow news day.

Personally, I'm with Lady Spank, I didn't ask for this 'gift' I don't wish to see it in my wallet. So I have created a character in a free spot to spawn the (au)rimjobs into her wallet, then I will subsequently biomass her. **** the NeX store.

Most delusional you are.
I bet there are market analysts right now banking on your blind kneejerk reaction so they can steer you towards their product and away from the competition.
Analyst: I bet if we put out freebies but make them optional or give the appearance that we truly care, our competition will put out freebies and make them automatically delivered to every customer to beat us, then they will all turn and come use our product since we're obviously the better company that does not try to manipulate them! Emperor: Excellent, excellent. /wrings hands together slowly, red glint in eye.
