It doubly screws over CCPs micro-transaction goals.
1 By just keeping the 1000 AUR as a keep sake it causes CCPs goal of hooking us on the AUR market to fail.
2 It leaves the game flooded with AUR.
Everyone shout just treat the 1000 AUR line as vet status mark, similiar to having the reward ship or even snow ball launchers in your hanger.

Yeah, I'll just leave it sitting there. I have no interest in imaginary video game clothes. Too bad I cant give it to someone who actually likes such things (though I guess most such people play Barbie Online or whatever).

Heh, contrary to all the manly men who decry "Space Barbies", I actually wouldn't mind tarting my characters up, but I just don't find anything in the store interesting or mysterious enough to buy.
I have no objection to Space Barbies, but I have no interest whatsoever in "Gay Bikers/generic GAP/boring cliched s-f movie".
Bring back the imaginative designs of that lady who did the older Incarna stuff (the Jin Mei outfit, etc.), and I'd buy it like a shot. *****

I cannot wait untill we get enough AUR to buy monocles. Not that I will buy one, but just to laugh at all the people who spent 60 bucks on something that is now free.

Whatever the total AURUM gold payout is will remain in my wallet, I had planned to keep it at 0 but so be it CCP wants to offer free drugs to hook users.
I was there when CCP jumped the shark and gave away Aurum Gold after claiming it was needed to pay for designing new NEX items.

Personally I'm waiting to see the day when you interact with eachother as your full character. At which point the entire community will start whining about not having access to the first items released anymore and being unable to "pimp"-out their characters.

I have a better idea, once they introduce aur trading (If they haven't already), everyone just send all your aur to me and I'll hold it so no one wastes it. R A I N B O W S |

Well when CCP decide we can move it, I'll send all to an alt that I don't use. That way I don't have to look at the stuff in my wallet.

I lost my snow ball launcher back in 2008 in a fleet engagement with AAA in 6-K738.
I guess I'll have to be content with the aur grand. ... Return the Old Hangar Back... for Immersion.

or you can go to jita, buy plex with 350mil isk and trade it into more aurum and in case you really hate aurum you can just check jita market and buy that crap from market.
even tho prices are ridic compared to other stuff in eve, few hundred mil for boots is not really much for a player so wtf is ur problem as long as it's vanity only bull****?
i'd be more worried about the fact that most items in nex are total bull**** and before walking in stations actually works it's pretty useless cos no one is gonna see your damn boots anyway.
i mean wtf incarna i can't even really use CQ cos it kills my 3ghz dual core.

You know CCP markets EVE as a RPG right? I personally find, and I'm not alone, than clothing items worth more than battleships is hugely immersion breaking. If they delink AURUM and PLEX they actually fixes that, but then the "we swear vanity item only, it was all a miscommunication" shop does nothing to reduce the amount of PLEX in circulation their RL accountants are worried about... -- I do have a few expensive suits. However I'm pretty sure none is more expensive than an aircraft carrier.

I bought the boots. I will continue to support CCP.
When they give me more freebies I will happily take them. And when there is a decent selection of items in the NEX store I will happily spend other peoples hard earned money for stuff.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Ghoest.

good idea.
personally I'm a little weary of gifts of aur from CCP. I said it only a couple weeks ago that sooner or later we would end up getting gifted a meager amount of aur, not enough for anything good, but just enough to hook us into buying more so we can get something good.
well its happened, and while I'm not ready to call BS on the aur prizes for eveisreal just yet, its looking more like a scummy marketing move than a "thank you"

I was given this military coat for free. I still have the 1000 Aurum in my wallet. I have no intention of using it until CCP pulls their head outa their arse and comes up with a better MICROtransaction model.
