When are games developers going to understand that blocking off parts of the game is just bloody annoying?
It's not just CCP that does this:
. You have 'sandbox' games blocking off entire areas with invisible walls
. You have linear shooters using all sorts of silly tricks like unbreakable windows ( or my personal favourite from Duke Nukem Forever ) stacking lots of indestructable furniture in lots of different hallways
. Having collapsed tunnels everywhere in order to make the game take far longer than needed
. Putting lots of acceleration gates in missions and placing them all very far away from the point you jump in
. Creating linear pathways that literally box you in to a select path and not even giving you the ability to jump when you meet a small ledge
Honestly, though it looks like CCP got desperate and put "We got walking in stations done finally!" on their features list and ending up ****ing players off because all they did in the end was put a room and then a door that leads to nowhere.

You can still double-click the ship in the ship list to open cargo, which would beat having to turn around to double-click the ship itself the way things are currently implemented.
I suppose they made it so you showed up in the station facing away from your ship to hide some deficiency in loading the ship itself?

+1 for the OP
You have to **** around too much now, and the puter is eating too many calories in the station. Game players vs. the Avatar lovers who like to play with themselves looking at smurf's.
