I think everything in this thread is pretty much wrong. The entire concept of people fighting over resources is flawed with the current blobs and moongoo situation. The idea that anything is going to give the "little guy" a chance is tarded.
Everyone wants good fights pvp yarrrr. Seems to me you get that when people HAVE the resources to do so, no the fabled fight for the resources.
Unfugg the anom nerf, among other things, so that people have the resources to pvp and they will just for the fun of pvp. Tarded artificial reasons to fight are not necessary.
Right now most of null is worthless, not worth fighting for, gives no reason to risk losses for shiite space that can't replace incurred losses. People are hoarding and safeguarding what assets they do have, hence no good pvp and the "little guy" has no chance of taking any good space and 99% of the blobs have no chance of taking the tech moons that EVE revolves around.
Give the grunt the resources back and he will fight just to fight.

Aww jeez enough of the remove local crap already. Enough of the lame excuses for getting rid of it.
Just thump your chest and say "I am leet uber pvper and I want to gank ratters and miners".
That's what it's really all about.
You think targets got scarce after the anom fugg? Ya go ahead and remove local and see what happens.

Originally by: StuRyan unfortunately im not sure what would make 0.0 more interesting..... the only thing i could suggest is to make ratting a lot more difficult e.g. rats that scrambler your ratter.....
its too easy for bots to be able to warp out of belts when local bumps and it would give more opportunity to kill things.
So you want to make income in null even less worthwhile and drive more people back to highsec? Or is this a thinly veiled "I am uber leet pvper and want to gank more ratters and miners"?

Botter alt sensed!
how is sticking rats that scramble less "worthwhile" they work in WH
Think of it in this sense..... it makes roaming around more appealing and gives the "hit and run" fleets something more appealing than to a. roam and get sweetfa b. the chance to kill bots and c. to be able to float around and kill things without being WTF blobbs oh and d. solo pew pew......
Income in null??? most people use mission alts, PI and Pos chains to create their isk anyway....
Not a botter, at all, ever. The point is we want people(targets) in null and everytime it gets fugged in the arse(anom fugg/jump bridge fugg) you have less and less people(targets) in null.
As far as how "most people" make their isk, unless you have a character named "most people" stfu. I don't have mission alts, I don't do PI and moongoo is a corp/alliance thing.
Who cares what works in WHs? If that's what I wanted I would go there.
If dram/cynabal vs rat scrammed ratting raven/hulk is what you call solo PVP.... well.

Originally by: Kynric The biggest problem I find in EvE is that there is not enough incentive or activities for ships to be undocked and in space. Pilots evaluate the risk/reward of situations and prefer hugging control towers and station docks to venturing into space if they perceive even a small chance of a negative outcome. There is often little that can be done to draw them out which results in a dull evening for before the hunters and the hunted.
When contemplating new features whether in null, low, w-space or elsehere please consider if the feature can be structued to cause ships to move rather than sit in dock. For instance, if the recent planetary interaction features could have encouraged ships to be in space if it had required that the captain be in orbit around the planet when managing the colony instead of safely under a POS shield. The more active and moving ships the better.
Perhaps moon mining should become something that happens in space at locations other than a POS. With the related aparatus and/or frequent ships to pick up the produce vulnerable to attack or looting. This would encourage active defence of the system and result in consequences if the guards fled instead of giving battle.
Also, it would be useful if more event locations were findable without probes. Alternatively a covert probe which doesnt show on d-scan or perhaps is only seen on d-scan from a short distance could be added. The fear of the probe is so great that most activies cease the moment probes are launched making them more useful for stopping activity or causing ships to flee than for actually finding anyone.
Another typical post of "I wanna kill ratters miners and PVErs of all types, not those that actually prepared for PVP".

Originally by: Selnix How is it that a single person can disrupt your home? Perhaps if you are supposedly capable of holding said space you should also be capable of defending said space should someone choose to attack you. Besides, AFK cloaking is one of the better counters to macrofarmers as the macros seem to hide when there is company around.
Weak tired old rationalization. You know damn well that one afk cloaker most likely has a covert or normal cyno on it and even if it doesn't you have to assume it does. So unless you can convince a fleet to spend their $15 a month on standby while you rat, mine, whatever...
Your argument is invalid. If only PL had experience hotdropping you would understand

Originally by: CCP Greyscale We generally want players to claim space, settle down, develop it etc, and if doing so means their space becomes worthless, what's the point?
Seriously? You have the fuggin balls to say that after fugging anoms making the billions invested in the upgrades worthless and removing the main source of income for the average grunt?
Fugg you.
