I'm currently wrapping up an int/mem remap and eagerly awaiting switching over to per/wil to train up my pathetic weapon skills and some new ship classes. I have a couple weeks left to train, but the longest skills still in my queue are 6 days and 17 hours.
I'm going to be on vacation for about 10 days without access to a computer (with Eve on it, anyway), so I need to pick another skill that'll let me keep training.
My current thoughts were to either train Launcher Rigging to V or either Energy or Shield Emission Systems to V to give me the option of training Logi for a Basilisk while on my per/will remap.
Any other suggestions?

Edited by: Drykor on 03/08/2011 15:40:37 Are you saying energy/shield emission systems from 4 to 5 takes you more than 10 days? Seems to me you'd have to queue them at exactly the right time (less than 24 hours to go from 3-4 and then queue 4-5 after) and even then you'd still be low on time if you had high attributes.
They are only rank 2 so there are dozens of skills like that, such as long range targeting. If you need at least a rank 3 then maybe high speed maneuvering or something, though they aren't exactly int/mem, still probably the best attributes you'll get for them. Or get propulsion jamming V if you intend to do PVP a lot, you'll need it for interdictors. --- Drykor - AHARM |

Edited by: Caelus Heliodromus on 03/08/2011 15:47:02 You're absolutely right. I'm not sure how I looked at them and convinced myself it said Rank 3 instead of Rank 2.
Propulsion jamming seems like a good option. I don't have a lot of pvp experience, but am interested and I would definitely want to try my hand at it in something small, cheap and most effective as a tackler, but high speed maneuvering is probably the best choice as it could be most useful for both pve (tengu) and pvp (everything?)

It says you already have Evasive Maneuvering at V.. also it's only rank 2 as well.
If you want to compare your skills against mine, have a look at http://eveboard.com/compare/Caelus_Heliodromus,Drykor, I'm around 98% PVP focussed but of course I've had a lot of time to get niche skills that aren't that relevant for you at the moment.
Personally I'd go with the propulsion jamming, keep in mind you'll also need graviton physics (a science skill) to actually use the bubble launchers/generators. --- Drykor - AHARM |

Personally I tend to train skills I'm NOT mapped for when I'm on holiday. Reason being that I don't bother thinking about Eve on hols so slow training doesn't bother me.
Drone Interfacing 5 would be a good investment of time - going to take you longer than 10 days though.

I thought they changed missions to allow MWDs (I know my salvage destroyer was able to get in there and MWD)?
DI V is a good thought too, as I'll probably never go with a Mem-based remap. 20 day training is painful, but better for half of that to be while I'm not staring at EveMon.

Yeah, you can now. Whether/when this is a good idea is still up for some debate and really depends on the ship and the rest of the fit.

It's well worth it. It's hard to find a skill with the same equivalent payoff for taking to 5.

I also have to agree with about everyone else Drone Interfacing V, is the skill to train. Best bang for your buck that will take up your vacation.

Its hard to find a 20 day skill that's going to give you 20% bonus.
Having said that Othran hasn't trained it - all the other combat alts I have though. Othran is just very very very focused on training - will be maxed on all sub battleship class combat ships this year.

This may sound stupid. But it is your character. Train what you want. Why on earth would you ask other people how to skill up your character.
