Hello there !
I've been scanning through this region for quite a while and it seems that only Unknown and Gravimetric exist here, can that be possible or was that just bad luck ?
Search function only brought me a topic from 2007, where it was said that exploration would soon get updated to properly include all types. I mean thats 4 years back, surely that was fixed already ?.
I'm in The Kalevala Expanse if that means anything to the exploration system.

"I've scanned over TEN systems and no radar sites, I think they got removed!"
"8 of 10 of my invention jobs failed, I think they stealth nerfed invention in the last client update patch!"
This is you right now.

Edited by: Foar Rizel on 05/08/2011 18:15:31 Despite your estimation, the count of scanned systems without radar or magnetometric is 50 and rising. This is meant as a question, not complaint. Do Radar and Magnetometric exist in Drone Region or not ?
Or may i assume that your comment means they exist there but are extremely rare ?

You may assume nothing. That would make and as s of you and me.
In the same vein, your assumption that I made any sort of "estimation" is wrong. I simply picked a statistically insignificant number to illustrate the point (tip: you number is also statistically insignificant).
Radar and Magnetometric sites exist in the drone regions. And as with you previous assumption, your assumption that they are rarer than in any other region is wrong.
Look at what all your assuming is doing to you and me.

Nobody has to assume the fact that you're a troll. You've obviously proved that you're very efficient and highly skilled at that.
Since you can't enlighten us with any pertinent information due to your inexperience, do us all a favor and go back to the General Discussion or Crime and Punishment sub forums.

In this case, can a non-troll person please verify the information please ? :)

All regions have the same sites. Sometimes you'll find a system that has 15 sites- sometimes 1 or 2. It's random. Despite much speculation- There doesn't seem to be any set distribution rule.
My guess is that you have competition in your area. Somebody is cleaning out the systems before you get there.
I miss the days when exploration was such a pain in the ass that not many people did it and many aspects of it were not documented and dedicated explorers kept their secrets. I don't miss the old scanning method though- it could literally take hours to find a few sites.

Thanks for the information, Kaptain Kruncher. I'm a fan of secrets myself, but this basic info simply had to be solved.

I loved the old scanning method it was perfect and balanced. They should have used this new scanning system for wormholes only. It totaly broke low sec. I know some people dont feel that way. But hay I still remeaber the days were you could camp low sec gates and do good by picking off one or two mission runner boats. But now they have to little shot at completing there missions and having to take standing loss to even bother.
Is it a rock? Point a Lazer at it and profit. Is it a ship? Point a Lazer at it and profit. I dont realy see any differnces here. |
