Moving fast is good, always. Just make sure you don't hurt your capacitor too much using one.

Ok, I will stop.
OP, What are you asking? (if its not a troll post)
AB's are useful in a myrid of areas. They use far less cap than MWD's and grid, and they provide speed without increasing ship signature.
What else do you need to know. Sustained Damage |

MWD are faster and thus often prefered in PvP.
They allow you to get close fast, or get out fast. You can also move back to a gate faster.
They do have some big down sides though.
1. thay are harder to fit 2. They suck cap 3. They bloat your sig radius 4. they can be turned off with a scram.
so some times an afterburner is better. Want to be cap stable in a BS yet move at a decent speed...Afterburner. Want to speed tank a cruiser in a fleet? Afterburner as bloating your sig would let big guns hit you. Want to fight tacklers and other frigs? Afterburner as most fit a scram to turn of MWD's.
So unless you have a need to close fast on someone or crash gate and don't care about your cap or signature radius fit an Afterburner. ______ Hello WoW players. Look at your toon, now back to me. I was thinking of using a fleet BS with an AB or an Assault ship with AB.
My crop gets mad at me when i do though. Whenever i am in a fleet they all have MWDs on all their ships. I prefer ABs because i can some times make ships cap stable running armor rep, AB, Weps, and points.
I know about the sig thing, but i am told the speed boost is so good that in combat, your moving so bast guns cannot track you and you outrun missiles. |

You are not out-running anything in a Battleship, AB or no.
Depending on the ship you might out-run some tracking and some missiles, but that is a highly variable answer to a highly variable situation.
Typically, in PVP, MWD's are preferable on tackles. Sustained Damage |

Okay, cap stability is over rated.
Also cap stability in PvP does not matter. Just cap long enough to kill the other guy. Also hopefully you do nto need to run all mods all the time.
A fleet battle ship should be what ever the other battle ships are. Don't be the odd man out. Most often MWD as battle ships do not care about the signature size.
For the frigate your job is to aproch quickly and lock soem one down. A mwd gets you there faster and thus you get the tackle.m You can turn the mwd off once you have the tackle if you need. ______ Hello WoW players. Look at your toon, now back to me.
