OK so I just finish angel provincial HQ, susposedly the hardest plex in the game and I get ammo and a tag for the drop. WTF?????? EVE is becoming the biggest waste of time and is becoming more pointless every day. Over the past 100 level 8 or 10 plex's the faction drop rate is down to under 20%. |

ever heard of "RISK vs REWARD". It is susposedly the basis for making isk in eve but today its "RUN your MACRO with no risk from ccp or from the game". The hardest plex's in the game should always drop faction gear, thats what they are there for. |

No they're not, they are there to offer a chance at shiny faction loot. Guess you're one of the new instant gratification generation kiddos

And? Taking a risk means that you get a chance at a reward.
Just last night, I did a Blood Annex that stayed entirely in Lowsec. I had to pass one of the most dangerous systems in Genesis to get to it and then do the final part of the escalation in my Cynabal next door to Antem.
And a Corpus A-Type Nothing dropped from the Dark Blood Colonel. Second in a row, even. Its the RNG working against me but its normal. -------------------------------------------------- I am the Love Angel, Wedding Peach, and I am very displeased by your lack of love! |

If exploration sites always dropped shiny faction and deadspace loot, everyone and their dog would start doing exploration, and the market would crash overnight from oversupply.
And yes, it sucks when you've gone all the way to hostile nullsec, spent an hour in a difficult site almost losing an expensive ship and get nothing, while some guy in highsec AFK running L4s makes more money than you.
But yeah, exploration is for getting nice expensive stuff once a month and getting empty cans the other 29 days. Missions, incursions and grinding anomalies are for constant steady supply of ISK.

If you want guaranteed isk, go back to missions or ratting. Exploration is pure chance. If something dropped every time, how valuable do you think it would be? Seriously, think before you post something so dumb. I don't think we're asking a lot for you to exercise some logical thought.
Though, I hear if you wear red underwear and kill a virgin the first of the month, you will get drops at a much higher rate

Edited by: EVEBANKRUPTED on 08/08/2011 10:55:14 Well I'll give you a idea of the drop rates going on for me at the moment. Last week could do no wrong, 6/10 Guristas ded dropped a pithium A medium shield booster (and so did 25 other people) also got a couple of rattlesnake blue prints and a few mods here and there for a total of about 6 bill in loot. This week nothing nada, every ded site, dreadspawn and plex scanned has dropped absolutely nothing. So it goes in peaks and troughs. This week alone Ive scanned down 6 provincial hq's and not one escalated and 5 had the DG spawn at the end. But I dont complain you win some you lose some its all relative to ccp's master mathematical equations on loot tables and drops. Its all about the timing and numbers, the more you do the better chance maybe you have of success. A person raised a point here you sometimes are actually better off just doing ratting in sanctums and havens for a steady income but its boring as hell and I find I get more involved with scanning and running plexes avoiding neuts and reds in local. Anyway good luck with what you end up doing and hang in there they do drop stuffz but you have to keep at it.

PLEX drops are fine. The real problem at the moment is invention jobs. Last week I installed some jobs from my laptop and my success rate was nearly TWICE that of when I did the same run setup from my desktop.
Surely CCP have nerfed this in a weird way. -------

May I take this chance to point out that, just because you've done 100 sites in a row with nary a faction drop, it does not mean you are entitled to eventual expensive riches in some sort of karmic balancing of the scales.
Each time you get that loot can or wreck, it is an independent random event. The RNG Gods do not care who ran the plex, or how worthy and deserving they are or how good they've been.

Aha! A competitor! My shinies!!!
Seriously, the Annex is a pain around there, especially when it escalates to Eve Gate... ;)

Indeed. That's what happened to me with the final room one jump from Antem on the wrong side.
Lucky for you, I moved out of that area.
Lucky for me, the first site in my new area escalated and I got a Corelum A-type EANM. -------------------------------------------------- I am the Love Angel, Wedding Peach, and I am very displeased by your lack of love! |

Nice. :)
Had the "Save the Slaves" escalation earlier, in every part the Faction commander dropped one LG talisman implant, a couple of DB modules, tag, and ammo. Ended up 43 jumps in total away from my start system when I got the last part 5 jumps into 0.0. Docked up & fitted the interdiction nullifier I was carrying on my Loki, dodged a couple of bubbles, got to the site, ran it painfully slowly, Faction guy spawns, I rub my hands with glee, he dies, I loot... 13 slaves... I had a good 'chuckle'... :)
EDIT: Flushed the slaves out of the airlock inside an unattended bubble... |

um no...
EvE has always been the biggest waste of time.
I suggest a game called black prophecy, it destroys eve.

No it doesnt' , the drop rate is adjusted by GM's and thus they control the weath being distributed. To limit "crashing" the market the number of sites in the game can be reduced, just like officer spawns are. |
