Not if they're in a fast/cloaky ship. Don't haul high-value items in haulers. Don't use them to haul anything of more value than would make you a target. Upgrade to a transport, orca or a freighter if you have to, and follow the same rules of not hauling more than it would cost to gank you.

Yes. I know all about high-sec and how to haul a few billion isk as safely as can be. I wasnt complaining about getting ganked. I was being sarcastic because high-sec ganking can make bank in the same relative security that mission runners have in high-sec. Thats all.

Quote: How disappointing, because you can't come up with a decent counter-argument you decide to make things personal by making a rather futile attempt to insult me. I'll just leave it at that. I just try to have a friendly discussion and you go that route. How pathetic. This only shows how butthurt you are.
Trolling trolling trolling keep those doggies trolling...
Quote: I've already established how irrelevant it is to discuss that. If you want to talk to me about those subjects feel free to shoot me a PM.
Trolling trolling trolling.. See your troll above..
Quote: Yes, I know I used real world as a justification for having such a thing implemented into the game. I was countering your "It's a game" argument. Don't try to switch sides and hope I won't notice, because I will.
More trolling ignoring my statement that it is just a game..
Quote: It's not fun. But we all get blown up as noobs. Some of us decide to ensure that never happens again and train up PVP. Others decide to whine about it and just buy another miner. This separates the "carebears" (as much as I hate that term) from those that aren't carebears. EVE is supposed to be difficult to get a foothold in. It drives away the bad players and keeps the decent to good ones. I had my share of hardships when I started up. I'm sure you had your share of yours. We're both still playing the game, we have learned to adapt and survive.
Yet you're advocating the removal of the ability for people to have a chance to do something while training up PVP skills just so you can gank some more "carebears" aka anyone not you who mines...
Quote: Of course they can. But many don't for fear of loosing a PVP match. I was the same up until recently and I am embracing my new-found love for PVP. What got me interested in PVP was when a mining vexor of mine was blown up. I wanted revenge for my loss, I wanted to PVP. I never got my revenge and no longer want to, I thank my killer for getting me interested in PVP. And that's my point, many will not PVP unless it's thrown up in their face. Making it easier to be killed in hi-sec might inspire many to PVP like I was.
I chose the pvp because I wanted to not because some griefer decided to try to run me from the game. If you think that your situation is the ideal for this game then I highly suggest you prepare to play a game with an ever increasingly shrinking playerbase. I mean really you expect a fresh week old player to be able to kill a hurricane piloted by a +4 year old pilot in an act of revenge (that's happened to me). Some people AREN"T interested in having PVP thrown in their face when they are still in a burst trying to make a living. You were in a cruiser so you were well on your way already but what you're advocating would completely screw REAL newbies (if you're in a cruiser you were already beyond newbie unless you completely skimped the essential skills). You want to FORCE pvp on the newbies allowing for griefing while I would like it to remain an option that they can explore at their leisure..
Quote: I don't know where you are getting this whole griefing new players thing. Yeah, I may have two rookie ships on my killboard. One was a friendly casual PVP with a corpmate and the other was someone sitting on a lowsec gate, seemingly AFK. Why not blow it up? It only took a few seconds out of my trek through the area. If I was in the noob ship I would of been blown up by someone passing by.
You want to nerf high sec and severely nerf the response time of the police (concord/factioN) both of those actions are very anti-newbie and are only helpful to those wanting to gank newbies which is griefing. All your suggestions come from the wet dream of a high sec ganker..

Wow, I knew you lacked the ability to carry a discussion but this is actually sad. If I were trolling I wouldn't put so much effort in proving you wrong, but rather humiliating you, although you seem to be more than capable of doing that yourself. And I did address your "it's a game" statement.

See? I addressed it, stop trying to act oblivious.

I found no results after searching your pilot name on Battleclinic and EVE-Kill. Your either lying and have no PVP experience to speak of or not posting kill/ loss mails. Which I don't see why you wouldn't so I'll assume the former.

I'd rather play with 10 good and dedicated players than 1000000 people like you.

No I don't. Nobody expects a total noob to take on seasoned players. But that's not my suggestion. My suggestion was to simply reduce the efficiency of CONCORD which alarmed you because you know you can't survive routine if CONCORD wasn't there to discourage attacks. CONCORD will still be deadly however players will be able to get away or fight them off. Obviously this becomes more difficult the higher the sec status becomes, which wouldn't effect new players anyway because tutorial and career agent missions are in 1.0 space where CONCORD kills you before you can get the kill mail for the gank, if you can pull it off.

I wasn't at one point and it happened anyway. The earlier the better. New players with nothing to loose are easier to convince to take up PVP than old carebears (ugh) with millions of ISK worth of assets.
Originally by: Kinete Jenius You want to FORCE pvp on the newbies allowing for griefing while I would like it to remain an option that they can explore at their leisure..
They can explore, just with guns pointed at them, which if you ever stepped outside of hisec is how most of EVE is.

When did I say I wanted to SEVERLY nerf CONCORD? They just need to respond a little slower. Even in 0.5 a ganker stands no chance. They just need to respond slower, barely enough time for a player to retreat to lowsec where they can't be caught. While the chase goes on a moment of hesistation will kill the ganker. All I said was CONCORD needs to be less efficient. Your making it sound like I want to remove them.

Grinding L4 missions is usually enough to buy a PLEX a month. If you don't spend any of it on PVP. Which is what a lot of carebears do.
Or you could go the nullsec route. Though that usually takes a lot more experience and risk, but pays off in the billions.
