Isn't it time for it to get a buff? I EFTed it a bit, and there's no way to get it above 4 thrashers alpha with 2x upgrades, and not over 5 (6 with GOOD skills) with a DC fitted. I mean, suicide ganking is ok and all that, Hulks are more than tankable, but Macks? it's still a 150m ship, a 150m ship which has the EHP of an untanked t1 indy.

Just fit it like most of the ice miners i see 4x civie shield boosters
Also its a mining ship its not meant to be able to survive the alpha from 4-6 gank thrashers if your at this point then the time for surviving has passed and your resined to your fate
What you should be been doing is been paying attention while keeping a eye in local and being aligned to a SS so you can just warp out
But i guess as a miner you dont have the mental capacity to think for yourself

loser comment.
It's a well known fact that a mack cannot survival the alpha from 1 or 2 gankers...3 or 4 never required.
You would think that watching local would be a good idea..except that these days it's so easy to grind off the sec rating hit; I'm not sure that this is bullet proof advice.

Its well known that miners are generally too stupid to think for themselves Its little wonder they are at the very bottom of the food chain

best way to tank a mack...is not be near gankers lol.
How do you do this?
land on your ice belt....take the 5 minutes to go as far away from the warp to 0 as you can and still keep a beam on an ice cube. BM that...and always hit that BM when going there.
Unless you got pro gankers...they will land at warp to 0. And find the closest target(s) and go to town. this is why you don't want to be there.
Next if you are way up the ice field...you can see them land, and start your gtfo out now plan. Way up the ice field, they have to move to you, more time to escape. Like mentioned above...if something closer, it will get ganked first along the way unless you did something stupid like talk trash in local. In that case...well they may jsut hunt you down and you will learn a hard lesson as to why you should never talk the talk if you can't walk the walk.
Now if you got pro gankers, they''l warp in a ship to be the spotter and land on him. Rarely is it ever this organised. Most ganks I saw were the warp to zero and spam the guns or the start up the disco party if they went with bs'. Its quick, its easy...and gets more kills since every ice field I ever hit when I ice mined had at least 1/3 of all miners alway landing and mining at warp to 0.
