In my experience apply rudder opposite to the spin and try to force the nose vertically downwards to recover from the spin!

Actually, the standard spin recovery technique is the PARE technique: Power to idle, ailerons neutral, rudder in the opposite direction of spin, and elevator neutral or forward to break the stall.

I miss the freeways inside the stations too. Remember those? Greater variety in station interiors, some had electrical discharges climbing all over the place complete with the sound effect. As well as the holographic signs advertising station services, the quafe girl hologram, etc. Those things fired the imagination. Not to mention the old ship spin hangar was more functional and you could see your ship a whole lot better than the current CQ.
What is it about the CQ that has me depressed? ItÆs like the heart has gone out of being in a station. I donÆt find the view of the hangar floor awesome, merely irritating. No control of the ship view at all. CQ is actually less creative than the old style hangars inspite of its technological advancement.

And it's so ****ing clunky. I wouldn't mind it if it looked good, didn't lag and had good control but it has none of those 3! In the words of the AVGN: "What were they thinking?!?"

Isn't it obvious? $_$
They were focused on getting the NEX store up and running. CCP knows we play EVE to dump money in their pockets and we just couldn't wait longer to be able to dump MORE money in their pockets. EVE is after all, their golden goose.

Clunky and laggy? I don't find it either of those. The persective is a little odd and i end up running into the walls. And characters walk too slow. But other than that i find it smooth. Maybe it's a client side and just requires a lot more power than regular flying EVE.

Throttle to idle, apply opposite rudder, stick forward slightly, to break spin. Then, level wings and begin bringing the nose back up, throttle up, climb to desired altitude.

They need to bring back the Gallente Pleasure Hub interior...and make others, I could almost invision a Minmatar version, the Caldari would have something a little more militaristic, not sure what the Amarr would have, maybe an old Roman style gladiator arena?

I see the Amarr as more fanatically religious than gladiatorial and while I see the Caldari as you do, I see the Minmatar as less regimented, more wild, less sophisticated and possessed of a vitality that other races lack. For instance, the Minmatar are more likely to make a ship that may not be stylish or even safe, but will go like a bat out of heck and pack a wallop as well (i.e. more engines, more guns and get some duct tape on that conduit to make it hold long enough)
That said, I think weÆre absolutely on the same page.

What CCP should do is release a separate program which is just a model viewer for ships, and allow people to spin ships in that to their hearts content.
Even make mobile apps for it and everything, so they can do it on the bus or whatnot, without even having to log in.

I prefer the grip lever, depress lock, pull lever, wait and pull cord method myself.

I guess CCP wants you to go outside of the station and dance with other players.
Seriously wait for the updates when we enter the station, leave ship in our pod and dock at balcony, exit pod, put on clothes and walk into our quarters, redress in our fancy NeX clothes and walk through that door and interact with other plays in the station. Well sort of...
