Is it just me or has the Mac client stabilised considerably after the last 2 patches? I've turned EVE Voice off, and put the character creator textures down to Medium, but I'm still running CQ and everything else on high, and I've not had a random crash for hours now. WHo knows, it might last for days without a disconnect or a lock-up based on current form.

Might be just luck for you. After the yesterdays patch i tried to switch CQ on again. Instead of a crash to desktop it now just locks the client. It stucks during it says "load" after i dock. It stucks not always, but after 2 times i switched CQ off again. The client is relatively stable with CQ switch off.
I run it on an 2010 iMac 27, Resolution 1900*1050, all options to high except antialiasing and the character creation options. Those are low.

Yep, looks like I spoke too soon. Was out mining with an alt last night, and after 3 hours, and many successful docks, the whole thing locked up on "Loading", and the only way out was a hard reset...
Ho-hum... I'm not necessarily blaming CCP for this, as I think the issue is in the Cider emulation software, but you would think the two sets of developers could get together and iron out some of the bugs in the way Cider seems to interface with Mac and EVE software.

Yes CCP are the ones asking for my money, but I'm just trying to make the point that they too are at the mercy of the Cider emulation software. I'm not saying some of the blame doesn't fall onto CCP, as I would have thought their devs could get together with the Cider devs and iron out some of the obvious issues that we're all having with the game. The only real way round it is to stop using Cider and develop a true Mac client, but lets face it that's never going to happen.
