I'm sure this has already been a topic of discussion at some point, but even still, I'd like to bring the idea back into the spot light. As I'm sure you guessed via the subject, I would love to veiw a movie based in the EVE universe, as I'm sure many other people would. And I have no doubt that such a movie would be extremely popular among EVE's players and fan base, and even for those that are unfamiliar with the game. If such a movie were made, it could be based off of one of the two existing novels, the third thats still in the works, or even an entirely new storyline. I doubt this post will have much influence towards CCP in creating a movie, but it's worth a shot, so please comment, and or bump this post if you too, would like to see an EVE movie.

Movie? The game is struggling to keep players and you want them to invest in a movie?

I have, great series btw. But it's just not the same as an actual film. And I will say even if EVE is struggling to keep it's players, I have no doubt people would still be interested in it's lore. Theres always been large market for science fiction.

Best you can hope for is that there'll be a fanbase in Japan and some (bigger) anime studio is asking for the rights to make a series out of it. --------

And which studio is going to be in charge of producing the movie? Filled with third-rate casts with names we've never heard of? With a budget of $20 million dollars?
Until EVE Online appeals to many millions of fans, there is no way that a movie should be made. EVE Online is a quality game. I don't want EVE being synonymous with a low-budget crappy movie.

Yep, it would be cool. Cinephile that I am I always imagine good storyline with good cinematography.
But, a movie can make or break the game. So, bad idea atm.
At present it looks like a movie would go the way the game is ù a money grab with little well developed new content.
And of course, we'd probably get the cinematic equivalent of a CQ or EVE is Real. Translation: Bull****.
