Hi -
I originally created two characters, one of which is in Caldari space and the other in Gallente space.
I'm just wondering if I should destroy one of them and recreate an alt in the same space - with different skills?
Is this a waste of training time, or is this valuable ? I'm just a casual gamer, and it seems like for those purposes a military character works best. So i'm wondering about the utility value of another character, and what exactly I'd train them as |

I wouldn't take time away from training your main character to do any serious training on an alt. Training the alt to fly an Industrial and parking it in Jita or one of the other trade hubs is a good idea, however. Makes doing price checks and such, especially if your main is far away, a simple matter of logging off. Amarr shine for this as Frigate 3 and Industrial 1 get you into the Bestower with has 4,800m3 base capacity and 4 low slots. You can then train Hull Upgrades 2 and fit 4 T2 cargo expanders which will push it's capacity over 13,000m3 with no other training needed, not too shabby for about 9.5 hours of training.

Is it worth training up an Amaar and moving them into Caldari space just for that purpose?, or is that not worth it - should I stick to the same race?

If you mission run a lot, you can train an alt for a noctis to salvage, haul. You could train him as a logi pilot. Orca pilot maybe? whatever floats your boat/ship
Edit: The time it takes to train up for an industrial is pretty much negliable, so creating an alt specificly for that seems a bit pointless if you already have a character to train
