It's a newb alt in a Zephyr, all he does is log in at random times and despawn my anoms. I haven't been quick enough to get on grid with him to get a name or anything yet but I'll keep trying for that, he may very well have me and my alts on contact already making sure I'm not on when he does it.
I've tried leaving 1 anom and camping it for hours but that's insanely boring and there's no guarantee he'll even log on.
I have Ceptors(Amarr), HIC(Minny,Gal,Cald) and Recons(Minny,Gal,Cald) on 3 characters. One of them I use to scan with however. Also have access to T2 large bubbles. Bear in mind that the anoms will still have Class 4 NPCs and light tackle will probably get 1 shot.
Something else I'd like to know, what do I have to do to stop his logoff? The tactic is to warp to the anom and just kill his connection. This means I have to agress him in some fashion before he loses connection right? Is this even possible?
If I simply can't catch him, is it petitionable? He's been in there about 6 weeks doing this.

I don't think it's petitionable tbh, but maybe it could be considered a form of harrasment, i'm not sure.
Possible solutions: 1- Buy a crystal ball. 2- Hire Chuck Norris.

I would petition that. A month and a half of camping someone's WH simply to despawn their sites certainly sounds like harassment. The worst that could happen is that the GM tells blows you off.
From the game mechanics, I can't think of any other way to reasonably catch him if he's just got an alt in a Zephyr camping in there and he has you on the watch list. It might be possible to catch him with a tackle-fit probing frig, but your odds are still downright horrible. Go ahead and petition the greifing and see what comes of it.

I hope he's worth all that trouble. If not, just change system. --------------------------------------------------

Edited by: Th0rG0d on 12/08/2011 17:23:35 I assume you have him on your watch list? Can you just keep your recon logged on and cloaked all day? If he isn't logging on if you are logged on, might solve your problem. Or when he logs on, quickly scan down his safe?
Edit: Zephyr might be hard to scan down though.

Also, the Zephyr will be as hard to scan down as an Amarr or Gallente shuttle. Also, it's not really realistic to have to leave an alt online in Eve 23/7 just to keep someone from harassing you, that shouldn't be the best way to do it.

I missed that sentence. As for not leaving an alt online, I can't say I agree with you. If you are seriously wanting this to end, you have to give the time, otherwise, do as suggested, move. I highly doubt this will qualify for petitionable harrassment. Therefore, take vacation if you have to, and spend all of it online trying to catch this guy. It can be done, I'm sure of it.

I've been in here for quite some time, there's also immovable assets that took considerable time and effort to build. So changing systems won't do. Farming the static is still an option, so it's not like I have zero to do.
C4's don't spawn sites like C1-3 do, they are quite slow. I get about 5-8 anoms a week, and today I've got my first radar in maybe 4 months, so that has to be run today or I'll miss it, I have to assume it's already been triggered.
If I can't get his name in the next 2 weeks I'll see what GMs have to say on the matter.

Tried talking to him in local? I've found lots of people by spewing the lyrics to bohemian rhapsody at random wormholes.

LOL..no, but I like your thinking.
I'm going to try a bit of social engineering first. I've left some offers (bribes) written on GSC scattered around the place, asking for contact. We'll see how bright he is.

Stop wasting your time trying to catch him, you won't. If he's smart he never leaves his safespot (you just have to initiate warp to a site to start the despawn timer) and as you say never logons when any of you are online. The Zehpyr is also way too small to probe up in time. Unless he makes a mistake he's untouchable.
Made someone mad recently? Are you yelling at him in local to make him stop? There is no way a guy would bother doing that for 6 weeks straight unless you frequently let him know how irritating he is.
Not sure it falls under harassment. You could try to petition it, but don't hold your breath.

Spending 6 weeks doing this does seem awfully boring... you must have earned someone's ire. Kick someone out of the hole maybe?

Why there are people like this guy that are so incredibly idiots? OP is not crying, nobody is crying. Still you think you'll look cool if you say something like that, like you are a badass and other are stupids. Well, breaking news: you are the idiot.

Quote: 3. HARASSMENT An immediate permanent ban of an account may result if a player: * a. Organizes or participates in a corporation or group that is based on or advocates any anti-ethnic, anti-gay, anti-religious, racist, sexist or other hate-mongering philosophies. Severe offences may result in an immediate ban without warning; however, warnings may be given for first time offenses, followed by account suspensions of varying degree and ultimately a permanent ban if a player: * a. Is abusive, obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, ethnically or racially offensive, or threatening to another player or an official EVE Online representative. * b. Uses role-playing as an excuse for violating the guidelines regarding fair play with others. * c. Sends excessive e-mails, EVE-mails or petitions, petitions with false information or repeatedly petitions under the wrong category in an effort to circumvent the customer support queue.
Seems the devs would consider your antagonist's actions as a perfectly legitimate. It is, after all, a form of isk denial, possibly by a member of a hostile corp, and there's nothing explicitly 'hateful' about it.
You might have more luck claiming that it's 'grief play', but that's notoriously subjective. Grief play

Harass him back. Don't run the anomalies and he'll have to despawn them all for nothing. Sounds terribly boring to me. Parrots, commence!

how hard is logging in some unskilled alt from times to times for 2 minutes? There is hardly effort.

doesnt change the fact, you WANT run those anomalies, otherwise you werent there. He knows that, you know that, so "harassing back" wouldnt work probably.
