Recently I have been purchasing from anyone but the best price in market hubs so as to not support bots or .01 isk warriors. Does this seem like it's an effective method or no?
I realize I probably don't have the most supportive audience in here, but I figured it was the most applicable place for this thread.

All you are doing is giving the "Best Price" person MORE isk.

What else are there but bots and isk warriors? Seems to me you are only supporting the lazy marketeers that can't be bothered to keep their orders up-to-date.

You will always sell to the person with the lowest price, no matter which order you choose. You however will pay the higher price if you choose the higher priced order.
So the person with the lowest price will get the higher price you just paid.

What gives you a confidence that you can fight market bots? Think about. It's better to use competing bot to your advantage, so you both profit. Either way, they profit, you loose.

Yes, let's fix the problem by using the problem and thereby making it worse. Also, it is spelled "lose".

Thank you. But what one can do? Report the bot? I have no proof that will help. I think that the worse is to fight against one, the bot have all advantages.

Ah, sorry, got it. I'm not suggesting using a bot against bot, but trying to use other bot actions in our advantage.

I think I have a pretty solid, interesting idea. I have spent several moments pondering this idea and it is completely worth the time of reading. However the first paragraph was simply designed to waist your time, and to get you more excited about my coming idea:
If your goal is to help the people from the market, and it is also predictable of the items you are going to need each month; simply send the people you buy from mails and tell them the future items you are wanting to acquire, and if they are interested they would be happy to make your specificity designed orders. This is probably a good way to make good friends and will help that individual a little more to not be forced to play the .01 game.
