I came back from an eve break, and I just do realize that my sentries T2 have an optimal range from 20km to 40km. How come? People will never do understand their own problems if they think they have not. It's a shame, because that's in fact the first thing they do take into account before taking an advise. |

They don't, they should have an optimal from 28.8 to 75km, before any rigs or modules. Considering their tracking that is excellent. Parrots, commence!

Garde IIs have 24km optimal without any skills. Warden IIs have 40km optimal without any skills. With appropriate skills alone (before omnis) that should be 30km for Garde IIs and 75km for Warden IIs. Throw in two omnis (which you should have room for in a true sentry fit) and that jumps to 42258 for Garde IIs and 105644 for Warden IIs. Methinks that will do.
(Note that in the above configuration Garde IIs track at .05, which is about where Dual 425s start before skills/mods. Given the combination of 42km optimal and excellent tracking, sentries seem pretty much fine.)

sentries as mentioned have range on par with guns. Not a bad setup really. Need more range, lr ammo lr guns or rattler with cruise missiles.
Most rats fly up and say hi anyway...meet them halfway and travel to em for faster killing lol.

With rigs and drone tracking modules you can get your gardes to like 80km bro, your bouncers can get range so good your ishtar will run out of CPU before you get enough drone control range mods fit to even use them at max range.

When do I recall my Wardens and drop my Garde's - 2SDA Domi with DLA, 2 Omnis, skills @ 5 (EDWI is 4) ? About 36km?

To be clear, EWDI is one skill that does not affect the optimal or falloff on sentries. The skill you're looking for is Drone Sharpshooting, which should be at 5 if you're vaguely serious about sentries.
Provided you have that at 5 and T2 sentries, I already did the math for you above. Garde IIs have optimal plus falloff of 42+12. If you're comparing them to Warden IIs, which have the lowest damage mod, you'd probably be safe tossing out Gardes at around 50 (assuming targets are approaching).
