Just wondering if anybody has ever worked out what is the fastest cycle possible when ice mining?
This would include fleet bonus, implants, skills etc etc
The fastest I have been able to come up with was 198 sec per cycle.

hulk --> 3:00 Mackinaw --> 3:19
give or take for roundoff error. =========================

I can hit 277 seconds per cycle in my mack and my skills are no where near maxed out

Probably read it as 300 seconds. The : indicates minutes:seconds.

3:00 = 180 sec 3:19 = 199 sec

Just looking at the numbers, I get a lot lower. I'll have to check EFT when I get home, but if others have access to that:

Best EFT will give me in a mackinaw, with a deployed rorq running a mindlink, and the 'Yeti' implant, is 183 seconds. - NEVER PVP SOBER. |

ur times fail to caculate in the fact that the mack can pull in twice as much per cycle then a hulk as there is a bonus to ice mining with a mack that makes using one more profitable in the long run

He asked what the fastest possible cycle is, not whats more profitable.

Maximum skilled Hulk/Mackinaw with the -5% cycle time implant, T2 Ice Harvesters, and two T2 mining upgrade modules coupled with maximum skilled Rorqual booster in siege mode with mining foreman mind link implant and cycle time gang link running.
Mackinaw: - Cycle Time = 183.229 seconds - Blocks per Cycle = 4 - Blocks per Hour = 78.590
Hulk: - Cycle Time = 166.128 seconds - Blocks per Cycle = 3 - Blocks per Hour = 65.010
Conclusion: The Hulk will give better cycle times, but the Mackinaw gives a better hourly yield thanks to its role bonus doubling its harvester output at the cost of a 25% cycle duration penalty.

hm... looks like my calcs don't take siege mode into effect... time to re-work all the maths for stuff :) =========================

This is spot on correct and I know firsthand as I do it all the time.
If you mine in a belt that has very little traffic and jumpsą.. max out that Mac and go to town.
If you mine in a belt prone to jumping, use the Hulk fit for a bit o tank and accept that you are mining a little less.
My two mains have over 75 millions sill points and I have never lost a mining vessel.
