Edited by: Blue Harrier on 17/08/2011 18:37:12 Edited by: Blue Harrier on 17/08/2011 18:36:50 Looking at the latest build on SiSi tonight (284795) I finally realised why I donÆt like the captains quarters. ItÆs simply because my Avatar doesnÆt DO anything.
By that I mean yes he does walk, look around, stroke his beard and move his arms but when you walk up to things and click something he (the avatar) does nothing.
He never raises his arm or hand and touch the screen to operate it, he does not sort of slide a hand across a holo projector to activate it or touch the æbuttonÆ to say open the cargo hold. He just stands there like a lemon twitching and jerking achieving nothing.
Anyway enough with the moaning;
Much better build CCP, all the screens activate with the first button click not the second like yesterday.
All buttons now seems to work fine.
CQ æseemsÆ a bit lighter now and my avatarÆs face seems a tad more realistic, also I thought the ship looked a bit lower in the hanger, more at eye level.
Login from main screen took 11 seconds. Login from picture to CQ took 28 sec (better). FPS in CQ are now 50 (60 when looking at my ship).
It took 14 seconds to undock and 11 to dock (about the same as yesterday).
One small problem, the warp tunnel is still hit and miss, first warp, no tunnel, 2nd tunnel, 3rd no tunnel, 4th tunnel until docked.
GPU is still running warm to hot at 72 deg C (off load itÆs 19 C and room temp is 22 C so the cooler works pretty well).
Edit: forgot to add the NeXt stuff is now the same price on SiSi as TQ so all you can buy are the boots

Yeah, whatever focus-target it is they use for the mirror (so that the character looks at it), it should be recycled for other parts of the room; so that the character at least pretends to be interested in its surroundings.

Sorry but I cant not say anything on this... You said that your room air have bigger temperature then your GPU off load? ...so... you have some compressor - expansion system on your GPU or... i dont see other way that heat would go from body that is on lower temperature (GPU) to body that is on higher temperature (air)... that is not possible because 1st law of thermodynamics say so...

What did you expect?
1. Walking 2. In 3. Stations
Give it a thought, you will walk around, in the station:
1. Rooms (they will be boxes with various different looks. 2. Connections to eachother 3. Each room may contain objects/activities. You will either take or drop off something. You will interface with someone else or an NPC
Basically you will walk, stand and walk more alot, that is it - there isn't going to be any FPS actions - that is for DUST.
Incarna was and will never be a FPS or action packed - actions will be using the GUI and or reading messages as before. Didn't you ever read all the dev blogs, or whatever...
Basically it will be as action packed as a trip to the Mall, a converstaion with the local agent like sitting at a planet smoothie and then the return home with alot of stuff you probably didn't need and less ISK in your wallet.
