simple answer is "dont"
you have to put the tower up in lowsec... a small POS will get stomped pretty much "instantly" (once it's noticed, anyway)... =========================

if it's a small POS, it's likely owned by guys who can bring massive firepower to bear on anything that tries to RF it...
smallest I'd go for a semi-permanent setup is a medium tower (and even then, would feel naked in low)
gallente is OK. guns are med/large arties. =========================

GOOD IDEA: If the mineral you are going to be mining is not worth putting a medium or large tower on it, then spending the time to anchor, maintain and potentially defend the small tower is probably better spent running missions.
BETTER IDEA:
Anchor a large Caldari tower and run a simple + complex reaction using the "free" moon mineral available on the moon. If it's worth putting a small tower on it, it's worth putting a large tower with a reaction on it.
BEST IDEA: The reaction market can be pretty volatile. One week a reaction will make you a billion ISK a month, a little later the market will crash and you will lose money on the reaction. Check your reaction/moon mineral price history so you can understand if that mineral/reaction is still going to be profitable after the market gains some sort of sense of stability. After studying the market carefully and taking into account location/logistics, decide whether it makes more business sense to mine your moon, run reactions on it, or both. ----------

oke thx, changed of mind, i will let those moons go in no sov space, and put a medium or a large caldari tower in deep (our) sov space

Even Better Idea: Let people figure it out for themselfs so you dont ruin it for all us others :P

Edited by: Old Rum on 19/08/2011 11:23:01 An advise about guns - do not rely on them. They can be disabled by little group of battleships - approved. Of course, you need them, but they aren't a guarantee of your safety. The best defence (BIG tower, of course :)))) - shield whith amps. The best for this - Caldary tower. Dont forget to load the stroncium bay. ) When you set a guns - remember, that medium and big ones have very low resolution. Small ones have a good range and can quickly lock the targets, don't ignore them. And do not use a launchers. Just don't do it. ))) And use e-war turrets.
