Some time ago a huge overhaul was done on the agent divisions and the way in which standings and skills effect the payout of missions.
I have a question.
Were can I look to find the base reward for a given mission and how do I calculate the reward after considering Agent Standing, Corp Standing, Faction Standing, Skills etc..
I have 9.99 standing with Fed Navy and I am curious if getting 10.00 with them and getting better standing with Gallente Federation will yield better rewards for my missions.

Standings have a minimal impact on mission rewards. Going from 9.99 to 9.995 s not expected to have any impact on your rewards. It is impossible to get your standings to 10. All you can do is get them close enough that rounding has your standings displayed as 10.

You say that standing have a minimal impact. I would still like to see the math that supports that.
If I have personal, corp and faction standing at 10 then by what % does that increase my rewards? "Sweet Jesus, It's an Anti-AT field!"

Like the majority of goonswarm, you seem to have trouble understanding the definition of pubbie.
A pubbie is somebody who plays a game in a pub or public place like a coffee shop. The term originated when steam started offering Cafe accounts to coffee shops and other public meeting places. Pubbie is meant as an insult because typically the person on the cafe account is inexperienced or just trying out the game.
That is what a pubbie is.

AFAIK, rewards (at least LP and standings) scale linearly with (1+(agent effective quality/100)) until it hits some cap, which I believe (but am not sure) depends on system security level - truesec, not displayed sec. ISK might scale non-linearly, but not sure on what curve. Agent effective is equal to agent base quality (now ALL agents have +20) plus 5* your negotiations skill level (so, max +25) plus effective agent standing (so, max +10), yes, that's taking connections skill into account ; corp/faction standings don't matter at all. System truesec is also a modifier to the base rewards on a rough 0.1 decrease equaling 10% base reward increase scale, give or take.
As for the base rewards for a mission... they're ALSO VARIABLE, depending on game-wide mission average completion time. You can guesstimate base rewards by looking at the current "bonus time". Max is 6 hours, those give the highest base rewards. There's no minimum - that's why missions like "materials for war preparation" gave such crappy rewards (it was instantly or near-instantly completed by a whole lot of people, driving base rewards down to nearly nothing).

So Corp/Faction Standing has no effect on rewards? That is lame.
You say that alot of this is variable but do you know if their is a cap to mission rewards?
You said that the rewards can go down to nothing but can they also go up with no cap or limitation also?
What is the max amount of LP and isk I can earn from a single mission assuming all the factors you mentioned above are optimal? "Sweet Jesus, It's an Anti-AT field!"

Edited by: Matalino on 20/08/2011 02:35:11 Each point of agent standing increases effective quality by 1.
Increasing your faction and corp standing will do nothing. Increasing your agent standings will have a small effect: 0.83% per point of standings. Training Negotiation will decrease the relative significance of your standings contribution down to 0.67% per point.
Therefore, increasing your agent standings from 9.985 to 9.995 so that it rounds off to 10.00 (instead of 9.99) would be expected to increase your rewards by 0.0083% or less. In other words: Originally by: Matalino Going from 9.99 to 9.995 is not expected to have any impact on your rewards.

I really hope as a somewhat new player that this is an inside joke, because pub/pubbie has been around online gaming since mid to late 90's, long before eve and steam and internet cafes even started. people were labeled pubbies being that they were public players, not belonging to a group/clan or whatever. Usually termed by clan/grouped players to people playing on their servers. Also heavily termed when early ISP's would cheaply or even freely host game servers (such as Quake 2 or 3) for their customers, and non customers had to be invited. (beginning of closed/private clan servers)
No biggie, just fyi. May be used for cafe shops as well, but not nearly as much or as long. Might be a bigger thing on the asian markets as well when the cafes are more prevelant.

Re-read what I wrote. Yes, there is a cap, depending on system security. No, I don't know the exact value of that cap.
Quote: You said that the rewards can go down to nothing but can they also go up with no cap or limitation also?
Re-read what I wrote. Max reward is for bonus time of 6 hours. However much that reward may be.
Quote: What is the max amount of LP and isk I can earn from a single mission assuming all the factors you mentioned above are optimal?
From what I hear, somewhere in the vicinity of 20k LP, for a 0.0 L4 agent in seriously negative truesec. For L5 missions in lowsec, no idea, but I think 50k LP is actually a pretty low figure. _
