so my security status was -2.63 rat'd in lowsec and got my status down to -2.47 so i can enter jita though when entering i am shot at by (corporate police) and get an agression count down.. and i did not shoot anyone or do anything to get shot at.. any responses on how to fix this would be great.. and also i have no bad standings with caldari nor anyone else for that matter..

Not entirely sure if this is correct, but I think the game rounds up your sec status to the nearest ten which would give you -2.50
At least that's how I think it does it. - Chasing the Blue Flash - My PvP Blog! |

It also might be one of those cases where you need to relog for the change to take effect.
Just brainstorming atm.

This, i nearly found this out the hard way after jumping into a 1.0 high sec system with -1.98 sec status in what i thought was my tengu only to discover i'd selected a wrong ship before leaving station, needless it was concordukken You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

Incorrect, I currently sit at -1.96 and have no problem getting through Amarr or any other 1.0 systems. As a previous poster mentioned check your standings with the caldari navy.

You will need to be at least -1.99 to enter Jita I think |

If you lost a ship due to this petition it. I lost a pilgrim once due to something similar and was reimbursed -------------------------------------------------

No he won't, did you even read what he had said?
You need -1.99 to enter 1.0 systems...
- Players with -2.0 or worse will be attacked in 1.0 systems
- Players with -2.5 or worse will be attacked in 0.9 systems
- Players with -3.0 or worse will be attacked in 0.8 systems
- Players with -3.5 or worse will be attacked in 0.7 systems
- Players with -4.5 or worse will be attacked in 0.5 systems

And Jita, being a 0.9 sec system would make it so that his security level of -2.47 would allow him entrance to Jita without Faction police aggression.
As I said before, this happened to me (pilgrim, sec at -3.2 or so and was destroyed in a 0.5 system). I petitioned, and got back my ship and the destroyed mods as per ship reimbursement policy.

did you get your status down and then just run off to jita without waiting a bit or logging off FIRST?
this could be your issue. always log off before going into empire after repping sec status

ITT People who don't know much about sec status.
You can be -2.49 and go to Jita.
If you got Aggro on way in-the timer will extend.
What likely happened was-if I am reading you right-you went there *right after lowering your sec enough? Then hat can very rarely happen is: Your sec is actually low enough, but the server hasnt updated itself to recognize this.
When I was starting to suicide gank, I would gank 2 ships and fix my sec. Rinse and repeat. One day my last kill I needed to up my sec was an officer-I killed Brokera!!! Took the officer drop into hisec with my status of -1.96. Got concorded. Result of petition was as described above, GM told me the servers didn't see my new sec was high enough. Has happened to me one time only out of @500 times fixing my sec status.
Hope this helps-D3

I can confirm that this is a issue that is happening not often, but it happens. I have tried it myself and I have seen a nightmare get killed in amarr because of this bug. In the case with the nightmare, the victim had been ratting and gotten his sec-status up to -1.8 from -2.2. When i pressed 'show info' on him it would continously switch between the -1.8 and -2.2 every time i pressed 'show info', even after he relogged. In my own case I only lost a rifter and relogging "solved" the problem.
CCP's reaction to this was that they reimbursed the ship and the modules not left in the wreck. While I think this is the right, and only thing to do, it still is a huge problem when people, like the nightmare pilot, can lose several billion isk in a situation where not only himself but also other players can see that his sec-standing is high enough to enter 1.0 systems.

its not a bug, its just the server being slow updating your new status because of god knows what dynamic load issue or local packet loss is happening at the moment.
this is why I say if you just repped your sec status and NEED to go to high sec LOG OUT FIRST, when you log in it will force the server to update your status.
either that or wait 20 minutes
