Coincidence that there's a similar price spike with Scandium? Watch out Fernite Carbide.

It's due to Fernite Carbide.
Fernite Carbide went from like 90 ISK per unit to 110 ISK per unit, causing the profitability of Fernite Carbide reactions to skyrocket. After a few weeks of Fernite Carbide at 110 ISK per unit, Vanadium and Scandium prices soon followed to close the profitability gap.
It's still rather profitable, so I predict that a crash will happen soon once the bubble bursts. This means that I'll be offloading my product while the rest of you guys decide to jump onto this sinking bandwagon.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Mercury was the best one for me this month. Made twice as much on that as the rest of the goo mixed together. Partially down to a "lucky-strike" from what appears to have been a mistake by an amateur hauler not understanding how bulk sell orders work. Promethium and Vandium made up most of the rest of the profit with a slight loss on Scand.
I got out of Fernite Carbide last weekend, closing out a long position that hadn't performed anywhere near as well as Tungsten Carbide or Sylramic Fibres, which between them netted over 15% return in the first half of the month.
I've closed out most of my positions now apart from a few longs and am using the acquired stock to build Hulks.

Fernite Carbide isn't finished yet. The cheapest sell order is 20isk higher than yesterday. I had a sell order for 9m units filled today for 130. Bought it at the trough 3 months ago for 71. I've cashed out my other 20m units too
