I recently bought EVE online and after about 6 hours of game time I got off, upon returning I have found that the server status had been changed to unknown. I checked the server status online and it showed that the Tranquility server was still up. I have filed a complaint email to EVE support four days ago and have yet to hear back. I was just wondering if anyone else has or has had this problem and could help me solve it. Thank you for any help you can give

With almost 43,000 players online right now, it is reasonable to assume that the problem is on your end.
Try logging on. Sometimes the client will incorrectly report that the server status is unknown, but will still allow you to log on.
Also check to see what other applications are using your internet connection. I have found that peer-to-peer file sharing programs can have a severe impact on your internet connection. Avoid using any application that places a heavy load on your connection while trying to play an online game such as Eve.

Check your firewall. Check your ISP.

Check your firewalls. I've had a few times they bugged out for no reason.
Do a tracert to 87.237.38.200 (TQ's IP address), if you get stars (aka timeouts) along the line that might be the cause. A single star on a server shouldn't affect you till it's unconnectable, but if you have 1 full line of stars, it could. Moreso if you have multiple of full timeouts.
In case you do not know how to tracert, check this: http://kb.iu.edu/data/aihy.html

If you are using Macafee or Norton internet protection, turn them to gamer mode or turn them off
